For those of you wondering about the talent builds: You can play full damage ie. (No calcified spikes / no extended spikes / 1 point in feed the demon) all the way up to at least 13-15 range, Tyrannical OR Forti. You will only feel the need to change past that range, depending on how well you play and your comp.

Hi, may I ask why the talent “Soulmonger” is bad? I’ve heard alot of DH say this but I never understood why as it shows in my details that it provides me alot of shield and heal.

The other talent choice- which buffs your cleave dmg by 40%- provides almost the same amount of healing as soulmonger,bc of leech. So it’s basically similar survivability, and free damage, not going SM

I dont get how the build with no brand spread is more tanky ? Isnt brand a really good defensive and with that build only aplied to one target instead of like 10 in a big pull ? I think im missing something here :/

With constant sigil effects and about 32-33% crit you should have a little more than 50% parry rate when demon spikes is up, making the build better for big pulls.

Hello! Isn’t extended spikes significantly more Spikes uptime compared to FTD. Extended spikes is a 33% increase on uptime while 1/2 FTD is only 12-14%. In single target maybe even less. Also why are you dropping darkglare for 13% spikes uptime? Meta is way more DR + HP

In my experience, FTD is worth a lot more than 13% increased uptime. The other options are definitely viable though, especially darkglare is good in dungeons where a lot of the damage intake is magical.

TBH I have not tested those but I have strong doubts that they will be better than rageheart or treemouth's due to the longer cooldown.

It's good at preventing 1shots in big pulls but not much else. I usually play it if I don't have brand spread but if I have brand spread then I have to drop focused cleave for it which IMO usually is not worth it.

While I appreciate the guide, wouldn't it make sense to wait for the inevitable balancing patch before S4? Theres no way they won't change anything. Vdh may lose the 2 of each sigil talent for example. Anything could happen

Problem is even if some things get tuned having this kind of utility will probably not change anything regarding meta

@@schmobbit5554 Ofc it could. Imagine a damage nerf and utility nerf, then prot pala gets a buff to both. They could easily overtake. Talents can be moved around even making it unfeasible to take certain spells, like sigil of chains

I feel like one week before the patch is a pretty good time to release stuff since people are going to be looking into learning / gearing specs to prepare for the season. If DH gets nerfed into oblivion and some other tank gets huge buffs then so be it, we'll adjust.
