Guiding Light 7-24-02 Aftermath of Richard's death Part 2

Wednesday July 24th 2002
When Rick sees Ed, Mel, and Michelle dressed for Richard's funeral, he insists that he should go too but clearly too weak to get out of bed and Mel tells him that he can't go. Rick feels guilty that he's alive and Richard's dead.
Reva tells Josh that she has to tell Cassie that she turned off Richard's ventilator, she just doesn't know how or when. Cassie arrives with a box of Richard's belongings. She asks Reva to deliver the eulogy at the funeral.
After confiding his suspicions to Carmen, Edmund visits Cassie at Reva's and tells her that he believes that someone intentionally pulled the plug on Richard's life support. Cassie is furious that Edmund is trying to cook up a scheme to make money off of his brother's death. She kicks him out and orders him to stay away from Richard's funeral.
Lillian reveals to Ed what she learned about Richard's life support. Worried that either Michelle or Mel may have been involved, Ed asks her to delay reporting it the hospital administrators.
Tammy visits Rick in the hospital and he assures her that he is going to work hard to become the kind of person that is worthy of Richard's heart.
Later, Cassie finds a letter from Richard apologizing for lying to her about his job at the car dealership. She takes it back to the Beacon and runs into Danny, who needs to tell her that her loan payment is due, but when he sees how distressed she is, he grants her more time. After he leaves, she reads Richard's letter to her and is overcome with emotion.

Reba has no right to pull Richard’s plug. How did Cassie even forgive her for that.

Richard was in so much pain and wanted to die but Cassie was in straight denial and he wanted Reva to do it.
