For your burn pile, have you considered picking up a couple duraflame logs to shove into the pile from different sides? The 4 hour versions are like $6 each and you just light the wrapper with the logs inside. They are made of sawdust, plant fibers, and beeswax all compressed into bricks. I bet those would burn hot enough and long enough to get the pile going real good. As to the 330, well life is all about balance right? We dont want to kill off all the beavers but this spot clearly has multiple generations and could use a bit of rebalancing via the 330. But if you are gonna do it, do it sooner rather than later. Dont want to trap a mom with babies in the den to starve. Most states with trapping seasons for beaver run nov-march/april for that reason. Nuisance animals can get around those rules but thats usually an elimination not balance situation.
