I don’t think it’s because he used foam boards from the dollar tree as a reason for having lines in your wall before applying the contact paper. I’ve used phone boards from Walmart, target and dollar tree and many decorating ideas for decorating classrooms. I think a good suggestion you could try is, putting a strip of thin packaging tape down each row where each board meets on the wall. It might add more lines, but since packaging tape is thin, maybe it’s a good idea. Enjoying your display wall Also on the plane, white contact paper on top of boards wall, I would love to see it with contact paper with patterns, such as florals. I’m just not sure if each row of Contact will be out of line with the Next if that makes sense.

Thank you so much for following along for 5 years! 😊 Using cardboard for wallpaper can be a great option for a removable accent wall, especially if you plan to switch it out later. It's easier to handle, and you can create panels to arrange on the wall. However, applying wallpaper directly to the wall is generally more durable. If you're going the cardboard route, make sure to use strong adhesive and cut the cardboard into neat panels. Does that help with your idea?

Have you ever covered floors? There are cheap ways. Paper bag floors. I am going to try paper floors using a momigami silver metallic type paper. It is crinkled. You glue it down and with elmers glue and water, then put a polycrylic on it to seal.... very affordable.

If you LOVE to suffer, try attaching Dollar Tree contact paper to coroplast. Few thousand air bubbles are sure to drive you insane. Alerted by noise, my Autistic spouse came downstairs to ask whom I am fighting.

It sounds like that was a very frustrating experience! Coroplast can be tricky, and adding contact paper to it definitely seems like a challenge. Sometimes the simplest projects can turn into the most difficult ones, but I hope you're able to find a way that works for you in the future. Maybe trying to apply contact paper in smaller sections or using a smoother material could help avoid those air bubbles! 😅
