I went to some 3HO yoga meetings in the early 80s. Really nice people for the most part. I later over the years would hear about the nightmares so many of them went through.

I enjoyed this so much. Many years later, after I left the cult I was in, in my twenties, I began studying yoga, became a yoga teacher and then a clinically trained, certified yoga therapist. I was able to differentiate between cultish yoga groups and those that were not. I chose people with whom I studied wisely for the most part and was able to see those groups and their leaders that were “ trouble makers “ as the Dalai Lama calls problematic human beings as he is very respectful, and avoid them.

It doesn’t say that; the noun is “cult”, not “yoga”. It’s not a definition of the entire yoga world, just this one group (Kundalini), which is definitely a cult. Watch Breath of Fire.

I think you might have misunderstood the title. He didn’t say Yoga is a cult, he said Yoga Cult and hate to break it to you, there are a few Yoga Cults.

3HO is a cult ! Bhajan was a fake, predictor and dangerous. Not every yogi or swami is real, many more fakes than real ones.
