I just found your channel yesterday & the hip flexor stretches have been a life saver! I’m trying to do these different stretch & flexibility videos until I can start doing more which includes lifting. Was working out & then my lower back pain was debilitating! TY

I'm dealing with a lower back injury right now. This sequence feels like it helps. That position where you put the yoga block between your shoulders felt pretty intense! But I think it's beneficial as well. Thanks for the video!

Thank you very much Adee. Your video's are awesome and so are you. I tried this as my back does bother me sometimes (total computer geek and spend way to much time sat in that chair). I was a little dismayed to find that I couldn't put my butt and the back of my head on the floor at the same time. I got their eventualy but it took about 20 minutes of gradualy swaping out the book under my head for a thinner one. Should I be worried about this? Also, if I may ask, is being barefoot important for yoga? or is it simply a case of personal preference?

Hi Adee, 2 doubts here ^^ 1st - When we're doing the exercise w/ the back laid, holding the knees and you tell to let the legs fall to each side (like @ 2m20s), I always get in doubt in yoga if I should let the gravity do the work OR if it's OK to "force" the legs w/ the hands to spread them a little further. This doubt is not just about this movement, but every now and then when I have to do "stretching" exercises. 2nd - The only time in this flow when I felt my lower back sore was coincidentally on the movement you say "If you only do 1 stretch a day for lower back I suggest this one"(@ minute 17'). Is this normal (because my back is not strong enough) or maybe this is not the right movement for me? (Or maybe I'm doing it a little wrong and forcing it in some way I shouldn't?) thnx again
@flowwithadee8 жыл бұрын
Hi Hugo! 1) Both variations are good - just different outcomes! When you press on the legs, you are actively facilitating a deeper stretch. When you let your knees fall naturally towards the ground, it is a more restorative posture :) 2) Were you trying with a block? You can also lay with your legs up a wall - how does that feel?
@hgleonardo8 жыл бұрын
Flow with Adee I don't have a block yet, I tried with a sturdy small pillow I have (maybe not a good idea). Oh! Great advice. I'm gonna try it with my legs up a wall :) Thanx a lot, once again, Adee. much love!
