I practice these every day - this DOES help. At first some of the positions were very challenging due to tightness in my hips and pelvis - but that tightness was part of the prostate issue! Lack of blood-flow and stagnant energy. Do what you can every day and eventually the magic begins. I am 70 and these postures can work along with diet (Amit has a video on best foods to eat), relaxation and good sleep.

@@AlexanderGrodskij To answer your question about 8 months - I now sleep through the night - getting up around 6 AM. Better urine flow, bladder empties better - no feeling of heaviness in bladder even after peeing. I have to tell you this yoga is only part of what I do to keep my prostate healthy. There is no one magic exercise, supplement or drug. I have found I need to address several areas which have given me the best results. 1. DIET - I went VERY low carb. I do eat meat and vegetables. I cut out all sugar. No hot spices and I cook everything. 1A WATER - Drink lots of water. 2. SITTING - avoid sitting for long periods of time. Sitting folds you in half and cuts the flow of blood and energy through your body. 3. EXERCISE - I am 71. I don't do crazy work outs but I exercise and walk every day. Body weight squats, pushups and these yoga postures ESPECIALLY the butterfly post (seated, feet together, knees out) don't bounce 4. VISUALIZATION - I tell myself with positive messages that my prostate is shrinking and getting better every day. 5. SUPPLEMENTS - important but they aren't magic.

@@AlexanderGrodskij I do take several supplements. I feel the yoga is an important part. I have learned for myself anyway, there is no 'one magic' technique or supplement. Good blood flow, strength, and relaxation of the pelvic floor is very important for prostate and bladder health. Yoga is the key to achieving that.

I remember a lot of these stretches from martial arts which I used to practice when I was younger. Now that I've got a stiffness in the perineum area perhaps it's time to revisit these. Thank you Amit. I've stopped doing stretches. I think it's time to start again. And I'm around 50 myself :D

These exercises are absolutely amazing! I have an enlarged prostate and use natural supplements, but after trying these exercises I could feel relief the very first time. I was also able to sleep for several hours that same night before waking to urinate, hence, that is proof these exercises work. I've used Western Allopathic medicine, but only had temporary relief. @@bhagtsingh9083 For information & education I use Prostadine, which is a completely natural product. In addition to providing relief of the prostate it also helps to shrink the prostate. I also filter my water to remove any chemicals & I've substantially reduced processed foods. I do not use vegetable or any seed oils, such as canola, sunflower, peanut, etc. These seed & vegetable oils are extremely inflammatory. Prostate enlargement is very likely caused by disruption of the male hormones. Instead, I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut oil for cooking. Beef tallow could be used if it is from cows fed with 100% grass.

Usually I never go more than 3 hours at night without needing to pee, been like that for over 5 years after doing these exercises twice a day for 3 days last night I went 5 hours 25 minutes before I had to get up to pee which is major change so going to keep doing them everyday thank you for sharing
