This is a very nice chill game but there is 1 important rule and 1 important trick for better succes. - There is a maximum animal render distance of 430m horizontally but sounds carry further. This is the most important rule of the game to understand because on maps like Savanna with wide open plains if you're running so much, you will almost never see an animal. - What makes theHunter games stand out in hunting games is they have the most sophisticated animal AI (not sophisticated but the most...). Animals have different stances and their patterns differ depending which stance they are in. You can abuse the programmed animal behaviour through experimenting and understanding these stances and their patterns. When they are scared by you moving or you shooting, they will run away but only for a few seconds and afterwards return to their last position. It is a mini-spook instead of a full spook. But only if the sound does not continue otherwise they will go into a complete panic and keep running away very far from their original point (and spook every animal they come across while running away leaving you in a desert for a very long time). You can use this to adapt your movement so that you walk standing up (not sprint) for 100-150 meters and then crouch for a few moments to watch for animals or returning animals. But the most powerful it is when you come across a herd because with this information you know you can shoot an animal in the herd, wait a minute for them all to come back and rinse and repeat until the whole herd is in a pile on the ground. Don't keep shooting at the other animals running away because that will trigger them into a full spook.

In all honesty CAll of the Wild is one of the easiest games to chill in due to the quiet nature noises, the nice vistas, and the way you need to just wait and move quietly for extended periods of time. Or maybe i'm crazy.

In the uk is hunting like allowed like i know they have very strict laws on guns. I just don't know how far it it goes.

As far as I know, you need a certificate for all guns, but not Air Rifles/Pistols. You cannot use Bows, Crossbows or Explosives. Pest species can be controlled legally using the correct methods. Birds such as Game and Wildfowl can be hunted. Fox and Deer also but you cant use Dogs, or your Car. Our last PM Theresa May would have won a majority in our last election but she slipped a tax on people with Dementia and Bring Back Hunting Foxes with dogs into her manifesto. Lost a lot of voters. Besides that, proof that you own the land, or that you have the owners permission. Dont cause unnessacary suffering. Its more relaxed that people think. Ive seen hunters collecting rabbits in my local area. Hope this helps.

@@Liamneedham29 air guns need permits at least in scotland, airsoft guns also or orange flash hider i believe could be wrong as countries within uk have different laws edit: forgot to say, deer hunting is big in scotland, as well as grouse but you can't kill swans as the royal family own them, not kidding. this is mostly done by tourists/the rich etc, as it costs loads

@@idiotstupid5904 Totally true about the swans, heard that a lot growing up. I'm from Doncaster so I guess if its not the same here, then thats a part of Scottish law. Gov.uk says you dont need a cert for Air Rifles up to 12ft lb in power or Air Pistols up to 6ft lb in power. Very expensive sport, always wanted to give it a go, but I dont think I have the discipline to kill an animal quickly or painlessly. Probably would just severely maim it and then lose it in the wilderness.

I played this game back in 2013 before it went multiplayer.. it was kind of fun, kind of not. I tried Call of the Wild with a friend since... sadly.. basides the graphics, the game hasn't improved since then. And the most annoying thing. Tracks animal for 30 minutes, prepares perfect shot. Pulls trigger - you don't have the license to shoot that. Spend 10€ to get the license.. Are you fucking serious? That's worse than EA.
