Soak the sweater in warm water and hair conditioner for 30 minutes. Take it out and squeeze the excess out, DO NOT WRING IT. You'll felt it that way. Lay out on a towel and roll the rest of the water out, but leave it damp. Lay it on a dry towel, and stretch the sweater to your desired length and width. Let it dry 100% before you put it on. This is called blocking

Blocking is helpful for unfelted knits, and definitely helps with shaping. But...once the fabric has shrunk this much, and the fibers are locked together...well, it's not going to get noticeably bigger or longer!😕

My favourite thing about your videos is how it does not feel forced at all. You do have a quirky style and you love colourful things and you make them work. You learn by simply doing the things. I loved watching you raid your wardrobe and making new things out of old things you're not wearing and at the same time also just tweaking or repairing the things you love. It gives me a lot of inspiration. And even when you realize that you made a mistake, it becomes part of the process that you show us. It feels so genuine. I cannot tell you how often I'm so afraid to even start because I worry that I will fail, even though there's no harm in making mistakes. If I'd go to Japan, I'd love to go to the Izu peninsula. It just looks wonderful! beautiful hikes and maybe onsen baths but also I'd really love to go Hiroshima because of its history. 4:22 USE A HAND STEAMER!! it will save it in minutes. Just hand steam it and stretch a it while steaming. i just saved 8 cashmere and wool sweaters this way :')

Yaa eyelets on shoes and any garment are mainly for structure rather than breathability, so you can def ties stuff on them to make them cuter! Also those pink shoes at the end *chefs kiss 🧑🏽‍🍳*, I see your vision!!! ✨

I went to Tokyo last October for the second time in six years and went to Harajuku TWICE but couldn’t find Paris Kids so left sad and earring-less because I thought they had closed down T_T I was distraught when I saw your Japan vlog and you were shopping in the definitely-not-closed-Paris Kids. Most of my earrings from my time abroad have lost their twin by now so I’d love to go down to Osaka to re-up my collection since that’s where I first built my earring collection. I have a wool sweater that i increased by multiple inches by stuffing with a jacket filled with towels ( so it had a "form" that would stretch it evenly ) and then spraying it with room temp water and letting it sit for a day

If I went to Japan, I would want to go to Okinawa and Ikebukuro because of two shows Ikebukuro West Gate Park (2000) and Churasan (2001). Those shows are so dear to my heart, and since they emphasize their locations so much, I feel that it would be only appropriate to visit them to see what they are like.
