I have sat here, and honestly just taken in this beauty of a song, I’ve listened hundreds of times, and there is just something about it, it draws me in and keeps me here, it makes me sad, yet happy at the same time, it makes me miss everyone in my life, it makes me want to go do something crazy, be a different person, make full use of my time, hang on to my girlfriend with all my heart, it makes me see things differently... I am trapped by this song, it is truly a work of art, I applaud you.

I think this video amazingly depicts his meaning of the song. It’s genius with the VR, really. “I’ll be howling keeping you between me eyes there I’ll be alright” He’s trying so much to feel so happy with this imagination, keeping the video between his eyes trying to stay in the moment. It’s heartbreaking but beautiful at the same time.

The Smiling Titan Sama What I think he’s saying is that the grass stains we would get as children when playing was good pain because it was from childhood which many people hold dearly, and it means he can’t be fazed because as a child your unbothered by any real problems in life

Apologies if I'm mistaken......."we know where all the red ferns grow, 2 feet, against me, beyond my reach..." I was wondering what this meant, found/figured out that it references the book "where the red ferns grow by Wilson Rawls" in which(havnt read it myself) a boy buys two dogs, and I guess they die, because he buries them next to each other and a red fern grows between them. Red ferns according to the book are planted by angels. So I figure the line "...beyond my reach.." means death. I could flesh it out a bit more, hope it makes sense, I might be wrong, but damn what a good song! Gees en vrede

Love this song so much. I come back to it again and again. One line just sticks with me - “grass stains cut my bloody knees, it’s good pain, it means I can’t be phased.” Like when you’ve moved past your grief or pain enough that it doesn’t completely overtake you and overwhelm you, but at the same time you’re not numb to your feelings and your pain

So sad, it gives you a sense of past present and future...when you get older all that youth and innocence has gone and to just look back at it through collected memories in a video game like setting...I mean maybe that's the future (uploading old memories into a format or something to view and remember when we get older and to re experience) ...ugh touching me in my feels.
