Before Popeyes expanded outside of Louisiana, the biscuits were made from scratch back in the 80s and 90s. The biscuits now are a dumbed down version of the old ones because they are frozen for mass production

I like to save my biscuit for breakfast. It’s usually dry, but I wrap it in foil, stick it in the air fryer and slather it with strawberry preserves! Goes great with bacon and eggs! 😺

Hey Yoki! I wish you could have experienced "Super Popeye's" (pre-katrina). They sold blackened chicken & blackened fish, baked chicken, ribs, chicken fajita soup, margaritas, beer, wine and all the other items the regular Popeyes sell. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself! 🥂🦀🦞🦐🎉

That looks like Popeyes on S. Claiborne & Napoleon Ave. The 13th ward. One of my old stomping grounds. Glad you had a great experience. To me every Popeyes is different. Even the ones in New Orleans. Now back in the 80's/9o's in the N.O.. Every Popeyes you pull up to would be 🔥 Even the menus were different. Al Copeland is the founder.

I usually get a few packs of the sparkle seasoning if it's not spicy enough. The biscuits back in the day were bigger and less dry. Bojangles has the best biscuits now in my opinion.
