Probably the best singer in the world. God bless all black singers for their amazing talent, 99.9% of the artists I follow in last 50 years since the age of 9 are black......to me they are the best singers in the world and without Mowtown music wouldn't be what it is. Bless

Wow! Now this tribute was amazing! Yolanda seemed to be saying Through God I am praising you for all the people that you touch. Diana is receiving this because she knows this is praise, and not " I sing better than you" , a lovely, and very real moment.

I love Yolanda's tribute, and Diana's honest response, and her children response, and Chudney so dignified sitting in the box behind her mother, and Tracee turning to see her mother's response and alerting her siblings to look at Mom, and Rhonda trying to control the tears and her handsome sons (Ross discreetly chewing gum) in the center... and Steve Martin and Martin Scorsese's response's and Dee Dee Bridgewater and Michelle Lee's response in the audience, Smokey pumping his fist in the air, and Michelle Williams after singing Touch Me in the Morning so well... it is a beautifully epic performance!

GREAT SONG AND MASTERPIECE WORK OF ART WITH EXQUISITE DELIGHT AND ELOQUENT EVENING AND VERY EXTRAORDINARY TALENTED QUEENS MS. DIANA ROSS 1st. AND MS. YOLANDA ADAMS 2nd BOTH SHARING THEIR AND JOYFUL SPIRITS AND MEMORIES OF A LIFETIME, AND YES THESE POWERFUL LYRICS lS SOMETHING OUR CREATOR WANTS ALL HIS CHILDREN TO COME TOGETHER IN UNITY REJOICE TO LOVE, CARE AND SHARE THAT UNIVERSAL LOVE & SUPPORT THAT WAS ALWAYS PART OF HIS ORIGINAL MASTERPLAN SO IT'S TRULY AMAZING TO HEAR THEM WHOLEHEARTEDLY EXPRESS THEIR GENUINE LOVE HONESTLY & COME TOGETHER AS ONE BIG FAMILY WITHOUT BEING SEPARATED BY VIOLENCE, HATRED AND GREED AND, WHY NOT STRIVE, DAILY TO SHOW LOVE, RESPECT AND SUPPORT THOSE IN NEED, A WORD OR TWO FOR ENCOURAGEMENT, OR FOOD AND SHELTER, SO WHY NOT TODAY "REACH OUT AND TOUCH SOMEBODY'S HAND" AND MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE" TO LIVE IN OUR HOMES AND COMMUNITIES TO HELP AND BLESS,THOSE LESS FORTUNATE THAN OURSELVES. BECAUSE "GOD AND CHRIST IS LOVE" LOVE AND WE'RE ALL HIS CHILDREN ALSO CREATE FROM LOVE.

This whole thing has to be bitersweet for Miss Ross. People receive tributes and acclaim like this when they're careers are closing, coming to an end. It's done while there is yet time to do it. The meaning is clear she's reached the pinnacle of possible success.. her greatest accomplishments are behind her.
