Oh wow! Exactly what I have been looking for. Where can I find the yarn requirements (guideline on qty) I cannot wait to start on this.

Hi Susan Kievits, Yarn Weight: 4 medium (I am using 2 different yarn all 4 medium Off white and black is Caron simply soft bought at Walmart Gold and brown is I love this yarn bought at Hobby Lobby) There are instructions in the video for custom made sizes so you will have to figure out how many skiens you will need based on the size you are making. If you are doing a 40x60 inch blanket you will probably need about 20 skeins. There are Notes and the tools I use in the description of the video. Thank you😊

@@HooknLoops Thank you so much. I live South Africa, no Walmart here or Canon yarn. I should have checked for instructions/info properly. Thank you for taking the time (and patience) to reply. 🌻

@@susankievits6345 Any 4 medium weight yarn will work. You can also use any colors you would like or have on hand. I am open to creativity and would love to see the results!

Where is the video that tells you how much yarn you need to buy for the larger blanket?

What size blanket are you making? If you are doing a 40x60 you will need about 20 skeins.

I like how you start instructions and then go to end of row but for this pattern I found your instructions.confusin Confusing. Side 1 and.side 2 seems to imply you turn it over. It would be easier to understand if you said do the row and then turn it around and do the bottom. Instead of saying side 1 side 2 say top and bottom. Also a shot of your finished rows would be helpful.

Hi Carol Conklin, sorry about the confusion. I meant that I am working both sides of the chain. So the pattern is the same on both sides. The chain will be in the middle of the blanket instead of being on the bottom side. I hope I explained that better?

@@HooknLoops thank you for the explanation. I do love your videos.

Do you turn your work after each row?
@HooknLoops4 жыл бұрын
Hi Janeen Bonnay, For this pattern I cut the ends off leaving a long tail for fringe and cast on with a sc at the start of each row.
@janeenbonnay40124 жыл бұрын
Ok so in other words...once you make your starting chain and you start row 1 on the right side of the blanket each row will also start on the right side? I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Thanks for clarifying!
@HooknLoops4 жыл бұрын
Yes, at the end of each row I cut the yarn and at the start of each row, on the right side, I form another slip knot and cast onto the first single crochet back loop only, also I do the same thing on the opposite side of chain, not back side of chain. So the chain has a single crochet on top side and bottom side, so the starting chain will end up in the middle of blanket. I will try to come up with a picture and post it in the community section. If you would like for me to take a look at your work you can post it in the facebook group. I hope this helps
