Yoncalla Early Works: Celebrating 10 years of community building

Kindergarten enrollments have doubled in Douglas County’s rural Yoncalla where community building meets early childhood education. Over the course of ten years, Yoncalla School District leaders and community members, especially parents of young children, have walked side-by-side reinventing the elementary school’s approach to family and child support.
To celebrate the years of collaboration and honor the community and school’s thoughtful commitment, the Foundation supported the creation of the video below. Watch to hear voices from the movement to improve outcomes for kids and families in Yoncalla.
