I'm so glad I made it to this show, it almost didn't happen, tons of driving straight through day and night spending money I couldn't afford at the time and putting off some crazy things that came up I should have been dealing with. I have zero regrets. You never look back and smile about the times you did the responsible thing.

This is a good performance and YMSB holds their own. Dave Johnston plays some nice textures, using descending melodic and chromatic licks tastefully and keeping the banjo rolling - no easy feat. It's in tune, it's in time, and it's tasty. And it grows on you with repeated listening. I wish the fiddle had been a bit louder, but that's not Darol Anger's fault. God bless them all for playing their hearts out. There's a lot to picking a banjo, never mind critics. Mighty fine! - Tom Hanway
