How much string should be cut for the black and how much for the red if using the two string process?

depends on your machine. But if you’re using packs and not the réel then 5.5M for thé black (mains) and 4.5M for thé red (crosses) should be very safe. For my machine it’s 5m for mains and 4m for crosses.
