After watching @ckyew review of the NF800, I bought one in 3U and 4U. I found the 4U lacked power and the 3U is definitely the way to go for better 'umph'. IMO, I now play with a 1000z 4U and that trumps my NF800. The 1000z manoeuvre fast, plenty of power forehand, smashes and backhand clear. That racket simply has everything!

I have the 88D Pro and this 800 Pro, both 4U. I use them in different situations, and while I am sure I can smash harder with the 88D Pro, when I get the timing right and going 85%+ power I’m not actually sure there is a difference because esp at full power it’s faster so the speed carries even though less head weight. Since my old NanoFlare 700 broke against my thigh muscle, I added the protection tape from 9-3 and the extra head weight keeps this feeling quite solid and good. I’m very happy with speed esp if I’m playing with someone else who will smash or end up playing with 3 women in doubles, it doesn’t feel like my normal shots are overpowering, but I can still hit quite powerfully when needed or wanted.

I.E. recessed half of the way on the racquet head, what does it do, recessed top and bottom, what does it do, long and short shafts what does it do, smaller and normal and big racquet head, what does it do, etc etc. It'll be much appreciated as I always hear this features mention in your videos but always thought, "but why and how does it affect it" and i'm sure there is someone out there thinking the same. Seems like yonex found out that thin box frames arent as aero as they wanted them to be. But it seems they found their balance and its nice that they are experimenting with new stringing patterns in their lineup. Its nice to have a stiffer string bed at a lower tension to reduce racket stress. The BP seems to be HL as well unlike EB like the og 800. Maybe Yonex has a winner or competitor to the Auraspeed lineup from Victor now.

But in turn I'm looking forward to how the Metallic series will fully turn out from Victor, especially the upcoming Ryuga 1 Metallic, which would add another series competitor against yonex. Sidenote, I haven't gotten your reply on the previous comment you had with JNICE, how do you get such low prices? I really need it due to the income here in SEA being harsh haha. If you were replying, it didn't show your replies as I noticed there were blocked replies under your OG comment.

@@markeb1312 Did you try messaging them? All we did was ordered 6 rackets for a first order and they offered us covered shipping + 40% off the listed website price. Then we did another order of 8 and was around 50% off. Overall the hype from BC forum + badminton racket reviews only let the brand known. Most are the rackets keep exchanging buyers. Victor needs some consistency even in their new Tech Metallic lineup. Unlike the DriveX10 which uses Metallic tech in the shaft. The Ryuga M uses Metallic in the frame and went with a conventional 6.8mm extrastiff shaft. Very similar to the JS10/ARS 98k shafts. They also need to fix their racket response indicator, because its literally all over the place with recent / old models. Between the two brands if you know a racket you want from either, base on reviews or trial / reasearch you would go to that respective brand because both follow similar design/specs philosophy but have their own core values.

Thanks for the awesome review. I'm currently using the Yonex Armotec 900 Power that I bought more than 10 years ago. I'm thinking of moving to this one since I pretty much play doubles all the time now. My arm has started to hurt now after playing for about an hour (hints of tennis elbow) and my friends have suggested that I move onto a lighter racquet. I love to smash so I would prefer not to compromise on that much. I'm trying to decide between Nanoflare 800 Pro, ArcSaber (7/11 Pro) and Lining Bladex 900 Max Moon. The only concern I have with Nanoflare is that in forums people have complained about breaking them easily. I would appreciate if someone could give me their opinion on the aforementioned choices (or anything else I should consider). Thank you!

Hi @CKyew, would you say the tension for this 800 pro can be same as normal rackets? As u say the extra string cause the bed to be stiff. Or would it need to be higher or lower like how 1000z is 1lbs lower due to the compact frame?
@user-sp4bn8od3z
@user-sp4bn8od3z 7 ай бұрын
Glad to see you back at it. I was generally shocked when i heard that the 800 pro had gone thicker than the old 800 and 800lt. As a user of the 800 lt, I really how quick it is to move and swing around even in unfavorable situation (but it lacked a little oomph in the smashes). Still love the nanoflare series and the direction of yonex design team especially in the colorways of their new rackets like the 1000z and 800 pro. It does make me wonder, as newer rackets get made with better technology, head heavy rackets have become quicker to maneuver while head light rackets have become easier to generate power, do you have any suggestions for your top 5 racket with the right mix of balance between quickness and power? Thank you always for the great reviews and keep up the great work. P.S. Can't wait to know more about Lee Zii Jia's new racket and can't wait for you to hopefully get a hold of the new Lining Halbertec 9000 (recently used by Yuta Watanabe and it looks cool too).

Occasionally I struggle with a strong smash, but this is down to technique or fatigue. Can you recommend a good replacement? Old Nanoflare 800/ new 800Pro/ other? Cheers!

I tried the 800 Pro 4U and the shaft felt medium, not stiff. Others agree. Although Yonex says that it is a stiff shaft. Also, is it true that the 3U 800 Pro has a stiffer shaft than the 4U?

Awww, this confirms my fear that Yonex would move off of the ultrathin frame, which I absolutely love in the NF800. I tried the NF1000Z and felt that the frame design reduced manoeuvrability compared to the NF800. So maybe the NF800Pro isn't for me. Edit 4 weeks later: Finally had the chance to play with the NF800Pro, 4U version, strung with the Exbolt 65 at 27lbs. It felt noticeably stiffer, and perhaps a tad head-heavier than the NF800. But to me it wasn't less forgiving. And it was certainly blazing fast! I actually liked it more than I thought I would. Maybe my next buy :-)

im having a hard time choosing either the new nf800 game or the older nf800 as i prefer the colour design on the newer model, but i tend to lean towards thinner frame as my usual go to. the new nf800 seems to have a thicker frame.

Hi CK Yew, i've been using Arcsaber 11 Pro 4U for a while and i'm looking for another racquet as a companion for my 11 Pro. I'm naturally a rear court player, but lately i've been playing more aggressively in front/net court. Thus i'm looking for racquet that's fast enough for drives & net shots, agile for quick defense, yet powerful enough for full smashes from rear court area. It needs to be at least equal, or even more powerful than Arcsaber 11 Pro 4U (my all-time fav 😍). Based on this information, which racquet do you recommend? Nanoflare 800 Pro or 1000Z? 4U or 3U? Or should i try Arcsaber 11 Pro 3U instead? Haha Would be great if you help answer this. Thankyou!

@@CKYew I bit the bullet and decided to get the Pro in 4UG5! And wow, it is fast! My main racket of choice is the Astrox 88S Pro and I think I may be a changed man 😅. Quicker on the counter-attack, quicker on the defence and smooth! My smashes definitely don't have as much bite to them but the trade off for more speed makes up for it as I am more of a Front Court player! Looking forward to the review when it drops tho!

A general Question: Does a thiner Frame, like the normal 800, equals less durability? Because within 1 year, i broke two Nanoflare 800. First one was a production-mistake, but when the second one broke i started thinking about, that it might be a to thin frame for my playing style, even when i felt really comfortable with the racket. So would you recommend to switch to the 800 pro, because it has a thicker Frame and shoulnd`t break that early?
@namtae
@namtae 6 ай бұрын
In isolation, a thinner frame would be weaker since you have less material (assuming you're using exactly the same composition of carbon to make the frame). E.g. the 3U 800 pro can be strung 1lb higher than the 4u version (per manufacturer specs). But with the force exerted on the frame by the racquet strings, you could have the same tiny chip in either frame (the 800 or the 800p) and the racquet is going to fold. Note the 1000z has a similar style of frame to the 800 pro and people are snapping them like twigs. Whereas I think my Axforce 80 has a decently thin frame and I've smashed it against my shin, wooden floor, concrete driveway, many other racquets and it's still carrying on. In the end, if your racquet picks up damage, you might be able to go longer if your tension isn't that high - but it'll eventually fail at the point of weakness. Sometimes it's just luck. The fact that there are more strings in the 800 pro however, might even out the stress more across the frame so it's harder to hit that point of failure.

Sensei, I have a 87 gram efault weight racket. Now maybe 90++ gram. Oversized isometric head. Hi modulus graphite frame. On my racket information, This recommended strings on 27 lbs. I use 25 lbs on my racket now. Bg66 yonex. My racket has 84 grommets. I also use double towel grip to reduce balance point from 31 cm, now decrease to 26 cm. I feel more lighter than before. I want to increse the acuracy from my racket. Which strings model i should use Sensei? I'm between amature and intermediate player. Have strong enough swing😂. Idk about you guys I recently bought a Nanoflare 800 game . The paint job on it is good but there a flaw You know when you guys miss hit a shuttle . Like on the frame of the racket , the white marks left behind from that miss hit is impossible to remove . Unlike other rackets , you would just use your fingers to wipe off the white marks and it would just come right off .
