My advice? If you purchase this shoe, be prepared for one or more warranty claims. I play advanced club level / tier 4 tournaments in the UK; these lasted 10-12 weeks with 2-5 hours a week of court usage. New pair sent under warranty, same break in the same place, again at 10-12 weeks. There seems to be a weakness in the BOA system, it’s just not designed for the force we put laterally through our feet. BOA technology originated with cycling, which only has one plane of motion. However…. These are the most comfy, grippy and overall best shoes I’ve ever worn. My feet feel amazing, I feel lighter on court, I just wish they were durable. Luckily.. they have a 1 year warranty… Overall? Buy, but buy a cheap backup pair and keep in your bag for WHEN (not if) the lace of the shoe on your racket leg fails.

All great points Matt! I think many people are not aware that BOA does have the warranty. Personally I've never had worn a pair of badminton shoes all the way to the 1 year mark as they would be absolutely be destroyed by then. In my experience, the soles and rubber/toe area are rubbed down before I have had any issues with the BOA breaking on me.

@@howeezy Yeah, I'm the same - my last pair of 65's lasted about 9 months before the insides were torn apart and uncomfortable to wear due to rubbing, my last pair of shoes was 6-7 months before that.. However.. I don't buy a £170 pair of shoes, and expect them to be un-usable within 10 weeks :-) Also, I'm on the heavier side at 90 KG, so that may also have something to do with it?

In all honesty, the durability of these shoes doesn't seem to align with their price point. I have a friend who owned the Infinity model and experienced a broken BOA system within just six months. This makes one question the rationale behind choosing this particular model.

BOA should have a lifetime guarantee. If you visit their website, you can claim a free repair kit for the specific BOA dials on your shoe.

I have this model and the BOA system on the front of the shoe broke during a game. I claimed a kit and I repaired by my self. But I think BOA have to improve the quality of the material, (its full plastic) specialy if you squeeze really tight the system.

Can you please tell the durability on aerus z and 65z3 i play singles 6 times a week and i dont want a lunge tear soon

The 65z3 will probably be more durable because the Aerus Z series is meant to be extremely light. So it feels like there is less cushioning and materials are a little thinner from the soles to the outside material. I personally think the Eclipsion and the Comfort Z3 are even more durable than the 65z3 though

Yes I've played all the models before. I usually change shoes out before there are any holes. But my experience will vary with your since we play different amounts of time, probably play on different surfaces and also probably have different footwork, and weigh differently. Personally I don't use the 65z because they are softer than the comfort z3. The comfort z3 will offer the rigid structure for longer if that is the feeling you want.@@avvayyamsingh8492

Both are great shoes, I personally like the Comfort Z3 but I recommend trying them both on just to see how they fit on your foot!@@avvayyamsingh8492

I wouldn't recommend this model for wide feet. I would recommend one of the models that has a special wide version like the 65Z3, 88 Dial V2, Eclipsion, etc. Many of those have a special wide version that might be better for you

I don't know if that will help because larger sizes will make the shoe longer then you might have too much room in the front or back of the shoe but the shoe still might be tight since you need width on the sides, not extra length from front to back. But give it a try, if you really are set on these shoes and love them haha @@farrelanastasius941

I wouldn’t recommend these for tennis. These are indoor shoes and the outsoles aren’t as thick and durable as tennis outsoles that are meant for outdoor

Ahh, sorry I misread. Yes as long as it is an indoor surface you should have no issues. These have great grip indoors. However I don't know all the details of ping pong shoes. I have seem some and they seem to be even flatter but if you are looking for some well-cushioned indoor shoes. You can definitely try these out @@sergioprieto4809
