A key change from the previous VCORE PRO 100 is the 1 millimeter thicker (now 23 mm) cross section. The result is a little more power and forgiveness in a racquet designed for control. Great review, it made me go out and demo the racquet, easy to use, good spin and geez I never slice but it was like it was automatic wow, ok power just enough for me as I like to hit big, switching over from the Pure Strike 98 16/19 which I love but I can't serve that well with it considering I'm 6'3 and get lost in the muted feel.

Hello, what rope advice for me who are intermediate level, since the vcore pro 100 has a lot of control, maybe better to put a rope than from more power.

I’ve seen some comments regarding the grip size (& shape) & advice to drop down a grip size with these yonex models. I’ve been playing many years with babolat but considering a change up after a few years off court due to injuries. Would you advise dropping down a grip size or not? Thanks

Hey Sam, Thank for your review and like always, I love your backhand, seems so easy ! As I'm playing with the same racquet as you (gravity tour) and for a reason it kills my shoulder, I've had to stop tennis for months. Jonathan, both racquets are quite comfortable. If you prefer a more traditional box beam design, the Yonex might be right up your alley. I would also say the Gravity Tour offers a little more control, and the VCORE PRO 100 offers more free power. What are you stringing the Gravity Tour with, and at what tension. -Sam

@@tennisexpress Hey Sam, I played again 2 jours with gravity tour and head extreme tour, I play much better with the gravity. My strings setup are : MSV Focus hex plus 38 1.18 23-21 Signum pro plasma pure 1.18 23-21 Did you try it with a Wilson revolve 17 or 16 gage ? Must be great ! Mayber 16 gage at 22-20. What about your string setup ?

Would the Hyper-G Solinco 16 Gauge be considered ideal on this V-Core Pro?

Depends on what you are looking for. I think Solinco Hyper G might be a touch firm. If you want a shaped string, perhaps try the new Poly Tour REV. -Sam

Does it gives good spin? How does it compare with the extreme tour which I use? How black code blend well with this racket?

Adriel, the VCORE PRO 100 offers a pretty spin friendly response. The Extreme Tour has that slightly wider main string spacing (at least within the sweet spot) so I might give it the Extreme Tour an edge in the spin department. Black code is a good choice for any racquet :) . -Sam
