I demo'ed both the Vcore Pro 97L and the Percept 97L and came to similar conclusion as you guys and I ended up buying them on sale for my wife and I (to replace her Ezone 98L and my Boom MP/Prince Phantom 305x). We both have tennis elbow problems (being over age 50) so the extra plush feel really helps, yet we still get decent control and lots of power when take a full swing (or return heavy paced balls). The biggest benefit to my game is in doubles volleying, with the smaller head size and lighter weight, I can really move the racquet quickly and deflect hard hit balls at me, or attack net volleys and finish those points with authority.

I have the VCP 100 and my friend bought the P100. I tried it and it felt comparable in most aspects that i could use it comfortably right away. Of course maybe the string setup he used offset a differences? I held them side by side and saw zero differences. Seems all are internal as far as hoop stiffening and VDM improvements. Plus, sorry coach... you said the grommets look the same but not the strings. If the grommets are the same then the strings must follow suit with them! If you're uncertain if 1 is wider than the other and it's the color that may be tricking you... put them atop one another and check!!!! But enjoyed your analysis for sure as always...

I play with the VCP 97D. I tried the watermelon and it felt too numb. I couldn’t feel the ball. I hope they bring back the Duel G 16x20 specs

VCP has progressively gotten worse as time ticks by... DG > Blue & Green VCPs > 21 VCP > Percept (coming from one who hasnt tried the new 100D yet)

I tried the new percept racket. Great feel and control, but no power. It's definitely a racket for a big hitter.

When the Percept came out every KZbinr said it gives you more feel with less dampening technology, which I found extremely dubious cuz I played with both and the Percept was just less predictable, less ball pocketing, and less confidence for me to redirect the incoming ball. My instant response was that it played like a slightly less stiff version of the ProStaff, which I'm not a big fan of. I was surprised that this video turned out to be the first honest review, but you don't have to feel "interesting" to realize that it's not exactly like what Yonnex marketing stuff boast about.

I have the yonex rds 001 mid forever and I love ashaway full Kevlar at low tensions. My problem is I’m a 4.0 so cal area but moved to Las Vegas and 4.0 is a lot slower pace there. Can you recommend a string set up that gives me a little more power? Thanks subscriber here. Tony

Comparing the 100s, I found the Percept crisper, easier to whip the head and therefore more spin & power. VCore Pro was mushier. Easy decision for me. Finally, Opponents noticed a heavier ball with the Percept! Not a fan of new cosmetic, but I got use to it.
