I think it is ok not to date or have a relationship and focus on yourself. I didn’t have a partner until I was 23 years old and it is my first relationship. I am 25 now, about to turn 26. And I did pressure myself a lot when I was around 16-20 years old to have that experience. But whenever I went on a date or got to know someone I felt very anxious. I was not ready. My mind and my body weren’t ready. And when I met my partner it just fell into its place. I was genuinely interested in them and their personality and vice versa. I, most of the time, just, naturally, want to be around them and I couldn’t imagine that before. What I am trying to say is … you will just know when that time comes and when you will start to feel comfortable to let someone be in your life. Until then just do your thing. I think you are very inspiring and you motivate a lot of people to study harder for their dreams to come true. Just enjoy yourself! ✨

@@TheSkyrimette7 I think the most important thing is: There is no etiquette, no ground rules etc. At least none that are universally applicable. Luckily, this also means that there is no “right” or “wrong”. And I really want to emphasise that each relationship is going to be different; previous relationships, usually, do not change anything about that. Difference means new experiences to be made, new things to try out etc. So, don’t worry about being outdated or boring out your partner. They are, surely, as excited as you are about their new relationship. Everything they do with you for the first time is their first with you and a beginning to creating beautiful memories together. You will be creating your own rituals and you will bring in your own colours into the mix, you will have your own traditions and own hobbies you do together etc. Don’t worry too much about it. I am sure you will have a really really good time. ❤️ And, very important: Be honest about your feelings and communicate them openly. Communication is key they say and I can really second with that. Funny side-note: I also happen to be my partner’s first relationship. We were both a little helpless at the beginning but it was nice to ease into each other’s company etc. Now, we have our own flow and figured out how to work out in this phases of our life. Relationships are about change, too in a way and adjusting to growth etc. So, things won’t always be the same but being there for each other during harder but also nicer moments is the key. It is a journey. I hope this was somewhat helpful …

I'm in my last semester of med school and watching this made me so nostalgic. I'm so excited for you Yoora, it's not an easy road, but every success on the way, little or big, is so so sweet and rewarding. You got this !!! Also about the love of your life, don't worry. I was the same way and basically couldn't imagine having to think about someone else's schedule and time and feelings except my own, but when you meet the right person everything happens so naturally that few years later you haven't even realized the change. Just move at your own pace, challenge you comfort zone and everything will turn out great!

​@@Sarahhande123 Hey, don't get discouraged! I am an extrovert and for me social interaction is incredibly important for my motivation and energy. What you have to prepare for is that during exam weeks or months, you may have less time for your friends. In my first years of med school I used to spend weeks separately in order to study everything on time, however most weeks are not that jammed, that you don't have at least one or two days where you cannot go out and have fun. It is absolutely doable. I can give you two very helpful ideas :) If you know when you have exams or tests plan ahead how much you have to do each day. If you manage your time and agenda well, in my last years I have managed to combine studying and! going out both in one day. It is perfectly possible if you plan ahead and when you have finished your work for the day, going out feels so much better, because you know you deserve it! My second advice is combining school work and socializing by making study groups with your friends from uni. More than half of my exams I have passed successfully while spending the last week before them together with one of my friends from my uni group. We motivate and push each other to read and even quiz one another on the material. It is a great way to both learn and socialize in one! I believe that you will find the balance and will have the best time in med school ! :))

In the beginning of med school I also said that I didn’t want a boy from med, but in the middle of the course I fell in love for a guy of my class, and it’s the best thing that happened to me. So, if your soulmate is in your med school, you will find each other and it will fit in your life perfectly, so you don’t need to stop being self sufficient,p and independent, someone will fall for you just because you are perfect as you are! ❤

i had my first relationship when i was 27 (I'm 28 now and we're still together), when i was already done with uni and law school. i think i understand where you're coming from because we, more or less, might have experienced/be experiencing the same things: super busy, independent, in grad school. You'll meet your person if/when the time is right! or they might already be in your life, you just don't see them that way yet lol, who knows! In the meantime, just focus on yourself. A relationship is an addition to your life, not a requisite

I think the fact that you got accepted means you should have the ability to get through the entire program. I studied computer science which is hard in its own way, its less about memorizing information but using problem solving abilities to figure things out. You just have to take it one day at time!

I was in the University studying computer science in the 1970's!!! I avoided taking a foreign language. The Univ. I attended had a foreign language requirement but since they had built a brand new Math & Computer science building they allowed different Computer Languages (Watfor, Watfive, Cobol, Assemblers language, etc., etc.) to be counted as foreign languages ... Yeah!!! You wrote programs 1 line at a time on cardboard punch cards about 500 cards/box. On campus if you heard someone screaming on a windy day everyone would spring into action helping to pick up all the punch cards "Blowing in the wind" because every computer student had BEEN THERE DONE THAT!!! I am condemned to a lifetime Everytime I hear that song when I hear the line "Blowing in the Wind" I have never really listened to it because my mind goes back to chasing computer cards!!

I remember being in my first year in med school and was overwhelmed with the new reality I got myself into 😂 I’m a doctor now and I can say, I still am overwhelmed with the routine lol 😂 how can we not? I mean its a long, hard, and tiring journey with a little margin of error. Just hang on! It will get easier.. and it will get harder again, and easier again! Get used to this cycle.. its a marathon, not a sprint. You don’t have to finish the fastest, you just have to make sure you reach the finish line.. Find your pace ❤ Study your hardest while still keeping in mind that scores are not everything. You will meet your first patient in a few years and is thankful for the study habit and virtue you develop over the years! ❤
