York Christmas Market 2024, Is this the best in England? Gifts, food-stalls and mulled wine!

I watched your Christmas markets from Chester, thought it’s a beautiful place, went there, enjoyed it but kids really not that much, then we watched from Liverpool, went there and my kids absolutely loved it, there is so much to do for kids, snow slides, rides, my daughter took her best friend and they had lovely time, so after watching that one I know I wouldn’t be going there, way too overcrowded, and just stalls stalls stalls,, but thank you for your videos, they give me some ideas where to go next 🙂

The Xmas market in York has always been busy - try it during the week and try the York Tap in the railway station. There are some really good pubs at the edge of the city centre - hopefully you'll come back next year.

I live in York and it’s super busy even on weekends it’s hard to get past to get to the shops! It used to be worse with thors tipi there and the stalls facing inwards 😮 Planning to try Liverpool Xmas market this year

The shop to the left of the marketcat was owned by Paul Hollywood's father in the 1980s it was called the wheatsheaf bakery and it was officially opened by sir Ken dodd.

The Christmas market in York is absolutely awful now. Ive lived in York for 25 years and over the past few years it has descended into an over-priced, massively crowded tourist trap.

Baths christmas market is very good,Yorks i have visited in the past ..looks too overcrowded and overpriced now,cannot see the slightest evidence of the so called cost of living crisis,go to any of these christmas markets anywhere in the country and there seems no shortage of people ready and willing to be ripped off,dont listen to the media...people have never had it so good

Not one to comment usually but it was a hard to watch how tight you were. You’ve gone to a Christmas market and you’re moaning about the prices. Moaning over mulled wine being £5.50 or £6 🙈 You’re that tight when you cry tears only come out of one eye. Cheer up and spend some cash. Merry Christmas
