Very pretty town. What I love about small towns in Pennsylvania is the condensed residential and commercial buildings without the excess need to build ugly concrete parking lots.

I'm from here. And it's gotten worse over the years. As any place you live you must be careful. But in the country if you like peace and tranquility it would be better. And never walk the paths of down town york. Not safe

I was watching the TLC My Big Fat American Gypsy wedding 2 girls were from York PA. And I also was watching other videos saying York is bad place to raise a family. Not sure what to believe anymore.

I lived in York Nov. 1985- Feb.2000. It looks like some of the downtown streets changed configuration as most of them were just 1 way streets form the center of the city extending 3-4 blocks in every direction before they became 2 way again.
