Oh my God that trailer park. My grandma had a trailer back in there in the late 90s/00s. It wasn’t as run down back then but def was low class. You really took me down memory lane today. Thanks.

I just left York. I drove a lot of these areas working for Doordash. Overall didn't have any issues with people just aggravated by never ending construction and poor roads.

I wonder why York gets zero media publicity? I live in Baltimore and most people that live in Baltimore have no clue York is this big or built up

York is a recovery town fr fr so there's plenty of drugs which means plenty of money to make but bad part is York got a lot of weak suburb kids going to recovery houses in the city and drug meetings and then relapse get high again get involved in the game get caught up then start tellin cause they never seen the inside of a jail before lol York county the Sweetest around. Both Lancaster & Harrisburg are 23&1 you can wander around York and be chilling.

York is def my second home lived in East York for years. Belvedere & princess, lived right up the street from the east side CVS for awhile. Then on Pennsylvania Ave. That's the nice part of York by fairgrounds. downtown can get lit on the weekends especially first Friday. Met some L kings out there in west York, cool people. Only bad part about York to me is it's a recovery city so you got a lot of homeless & drug use from people in recovery houses getting high and living on the streets. A lot of informants to so be careful out there if you decide to be in the drug game.

Even though it’s crappy and ghetto, York will always be my home and make me feel warm and fuzzy lol. The people on the other hand…😖 they aren’t the most welcoming or nicest. But they will make you feel better about yourself bc a lot of them are trashy haha. Not gonna lie, a lot of my family is like that too 😅

I lived in York City back in the mid-90's for a short period of time (by the court house) and it wasn't a bad town at that time. The drug dealers were always nice. I would park behind my apartment building and walk up an alley and would always get approached. They'd ask if I wanted to buy some stuff - I'd say no and they'd just walk away. One night about 2-3am I was awaken by a drunk guy in the street screaming outside my bedroom window. I lived on the 4th floor - he looked up and saw me and yelled for me to come down and help him....I just closed the window and went back to bed. Other than that - it wasn't too bad.

Used to be such a vibrant and cool little city back from the turn of the century through the 70’s. Even in the 90’s there was a great DIY punk and hardcore scene with some venues and even world wide known hardcore bands e.g. Earth Crisis, all out war, the Virus, Comin Correct,, stretch Armstrong, the Boils, the Varukers, eyehategod, Clancy six, Pray For Cleansing, Undying, Spazz, His Hero is Gone, Ultimate Warriors, but that’s just a sub genre, I’m sure plenty of other great bands came through for rap, rockabilly, rock n roll, avant garde. But I just thought I’d name a few off the top of my head. Yeah nowadays people just don’t know how to run a successful business and the time and money it takes. It has plenty of potential downtown but people have to be dedicated and landlords can’t be so greedy. Rent is way above the average more like philly rates than a small city in central PA. Depressing video but still cool to see because it lit a fire under my ass to do something. It just takes a spark and the fire will spread. Buy some apartments and houses and fix em up and make it so families of all incomes can afford them. Even if you wanna get into section eight still keep them nice looking because if people take pride n their house the whole neighborhood will want to. Oh this comment isn’t directed at the video maker just a general set of ideas to York Countians! Make it happen! Love y’all!!
