My wife is a really incredible guitarist and can memorize pieces on the instrument very quickly... So once, when we were teens, I had had a particularly bad day and couldn't sleep that night. So, knowing how much I love classical music, she learned this piece and sat next to my bed playing it all night until I fell asleep. I can't listen to it without getting a little teary-eyed now.

I love this piece. It sounds delicious played on this venerable guitar. Andrew York is not merely a master of music, he is a genius with the silence in the spaces between the notes, too. He rides the silence like a porpoise riding the waves.

It must be my Latin heritage, I admire electric guitar but the sound of plucked nylon strings have a uniqueness all by themselves, no need for distortion, extreme string bend, and shredding. The classical guitar is just hypnotic. Andrew York is a great composer and player, my respects for men like him.

This is ridiculously gorgeous. Stupidly sublime. Just goes to show that it's not about how many notes you can play, or how fast, or any of that...it's what's behind the note, what's within the note. It also helps to have the equivalent of a Stradivarius to convey those pressure waves.

This Torres sounds incredible. It has all the fundamentals: very balanced... warm bass and sensitive treble. It seems to beat out many today's so called big name luthiers or any modern design. I don't feel the overpowering treble and the harsh metallic high tension strings. I don't detect much reverb neither. Of course I could be completely wrong but this is a perfect recording guitar. I feel today's Torres replicas can only duplicate (even enhances) only the look but when comes to the sound.
