Hey, the students are allotted class timings by the college, you will get to know your slot timings on the day of the orientation. Class timings that are allotted cannot be changed. The earliest slot is 8:30 am and the last slot is 6 pm. It depends on the time slot you are allotted. I had 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm slot. Hope this helps.

It's a 6 month certificate course, I just want to know how helpful this course would be if somebody wants to get into Privacy domain. If you know anyone have done that or doing.

It's is mentioned "Courses combine in-person learning, on campus at York or Live Online via Zoom plus online learning". So person can go to campus for 6 months or only for classes days?

@@ra_mann hey depends on the course you want to pursue. They have in -person full time and online courses. Visit the York University website to know more. You can always write to the course instructor they are quick to revert

Hey, HRM is a popular course here. We are divided into 4 groups ( different timings) and each group has roughly 40 students. The course is good; depends on background. The class is a mix of freshers and experienced students.

May I ask - duration of this certificate is 8 months. Did you get post graduate work permit after that? If yes, what is the duration of post graduate work permit?

Hey, this is a 9 month course. Students get a work permit of 1 year after this.

Hey, the course is decent; depends on your objective. A lot of Indian students have joined the course only for work permit and that is why they don’t participate in class properly. I am on PR here so my objective is to learn and get a good job. Yes, you will get one year work permit with this course. For more queries related to work permit write to york university help desk; they are quick to revert.

Hey can a fresher get job after the course? Is this good for a job?

Hey, it’s not that easy getting a job by just doing this course as a fresher in Canada. My advice: Look for courses that offer internships and in case you do not have a choice then take this course but be prepared push yourself extra for finding jobs; if you are interested in HR you should explore internships and volunteering roles. Lots of students in these courses only come to get work permit; they don’t turn up for classes and end up doing survival jobs. So do your research and then decide. I have work experience and therefore, I decided to do this course. It depends on your priorities.
