Great video as always. Make sure you bring one about BOUNDING PULSE, the problem when you feel pulse in different parts of your body and AAA. Thanks for bringing such positive vibes, even when discussing scary topics.

York Cardiology I have AF at 57 yrs old, and my heart rate was recorded at 210 bmp while resting. No diabetes. If I am taking 50 mgs of Metoprolo, should I also be on a blood thinner? I am a little bit nervous about taking the blood thinner. Thank you so much!

Dear York Cardiology, Is the atrial myopathy a result of AF? What are the factors of atrial myopathy?

Very interesting and thank you for all this information. I was recently diagnosed with afib although I suspect I’ve had it for some time. The irregular heart rhythm doesn’t bother me too much but I’ve noticed that my muscles tire very easily. The slightest effort seems to cause muscle fatigue and cramps and I wondered if this could be a symptom of afib. Maybe not enough blood/oxygen getting to the muscles? Thanks again for this wonderful channel.

Hopefully you will get many more viewers after going on the BBC One show so they can also be well informed of their overall heart health.

IMO your thinking is headed in the right direction. Perhaps AFib is just a condition associated with stroke, but not per se, causing stroke...as you call it, a 'marker' instead. When they can make a good assessment of the atria's health, then part of this could be solved.

Very interesting, but if lone a fibbers have normal mechanically functioning atrias then what is the theory on the a fib development in these patients? My theory is I think athletes/young people develop a fib because their resting heart rates get so low and then the heart thinks it’s in danger and starts electronically react. Just a theory.

I think they may have a genetic propensity and then some environmental thing brings it out

hello thank you for all your clips they are so very helpful ... I hope you see this as i have a question there are a lot of clips about skipped beats or extra beat you can not feel so it feels like a pause. But i get these a lot and i think started about a year ago. But sometime i get a extra beat i can feel like b-b-b-bblittle paue b-b-p-b-p-b-b-b the p is pause skipped beat i can not feel . the b is normal beat the bb was extra beat follows by little pause also i sometimes have all most 10 skipped beats in a row. But my question is the extra beat you can feel...... now i can not feel them i only know this because I check my blood pressure everyday because I have health anxiety and i use a cuff and stethoscope because I don't like those machines so its doing this i can hear them

Interesting. Meanwhile I’m making the drug companies rich taking Eliquis every day, lol.
@hareone545 жыл бұрын
While I agree that Eliquis is too expensive to take in the US, you could choose not to take it and end up with a stroke or take it and not have the stroke.
