I love it when my hunches about places I see on google maps and read about turn out to be as exciting as I think they are. Been keeping an eye on this for years. The area covered by structures is mind boggling. Interestingly also the two main studied areas, area among the areas less densely populated by structures in the Black Desert.

You should link this to Nick Zentner at the University Of Central Washington, who runs a great geology channel on KZbin about the geology of the Pacific Northwest. This area looks like the flood basalts of Washington, Oregon, Iceland, and Hawaii

If that area had a lot more water running through it back then, could they have been traps for fish. Then push the fish into those end trap pits. If the Kites were all kind of pointed the same direction, Downstream possibly??? The walls seem way too short to stop animals.

I would also think the military has reams of drone imagery of this area that they might be willing share with you. Maybe more so than prying such stuff out of the intelligence community.
