Yorkie Keeps 3-Year-Old Safe After Getting Lost in Missouri Cornfield Overnight

A mom called 911 after her daughter wandered into a massive cornfield. Timberlyn Merritt is a busy stay-at-home mom. Her three-year-old daughter, Remy, is always on the go, and her one-year-old Yorkie is never far behind. Merritt says she left Remy on the swing set for just a minute and when she came back out, Remy was gone, and so was their dog Heath. More than 100 people joined in the search, combing through the 8-foot high corn stalks. But Remy was not alone. Heath never left her side. #InsideEdition

What an intelligent dog. I have a dog myself she's a chihuahua, her name is Kaisy. She's 13 years old, two years older than me. She has always been by my side or behind me she always sleeps in bed with me. She has a cancer tumor which is a big ball on her stomach. That tumor does not bother her, she's I not in pain. Yes, if someone is screaming my name within a half mile, I'll hear them. But if I for some reason couldn't hear it, a dog surely would. And remember, she was found a total of a half mile away, meaning she wasn't far at all when mommy supposedly first started looking for her. You said it yourself, this girl is only 3. So how long do you figure it took to walk half a mile? I'm just saying something's wrong here. The dog should've responded, there's no way they got far in just a few minutes. Or, mommy is lying about how long she wasn't watching her child. (probably what really happened) You shouldn't take your eyes off of a 3 year old for even a minute. Especially out in the cornfields, she's lucky she didn't end up a snack for a mountain lion. I just think this should be a major wake up call, and never should've happened.
