Yorkshire walks, bluebells, sunshine and flowers - A Dachshund's Life is Bliss

This little collection of our Yorkshire walks will show you what it's like to live in Yorkshire hills just near the Peak District, I hope you enjoy it x.
Our History
We were only getting one puppy, Gracie but then fell in love with Sapphire, Saffy for short and couldn't let her go. Mum is a black and tan and Dad is a chocolate dapple. Gracie is a silver dapple and Saffy is a silver dapple with white. We are fully aware of double dapple issues but she was not bred from two dapples and is very healthy so far. We would not breed from her either.

I just got to the end of the video and yes they are hunters, you're very smart keeping them on a lead because they will take off when they smell other wild animals. I have had Dachshunds in my life since 1995 and I must say we have no mice in our yard. It's been two years since my last dachshund passed away and still no mice, these dogs are amazing

I always enjoy your videos of your Doxies! And when you have grass that is grown that high, well, THAT is a magical thing for Dachshunds....they can imagine all manner of Badgers and critters hiding in there. I believe their side of the leash is saying: Let us at 'em, Mum, let us at 'em!!

They are getting very cheeky and can disappear easily in the long grass, I have to keep a good eye on them! However it will be cut next month so they can have their fun, thanks for watching x

What beautiful Green Meadows, I can't tell if Sapphire and Gracie are wearing collars or harnesses. I wish all dogs had a wonderful life like these three do. I get my puppy Dachshund in a month, she is a long-haired dapple. I think I'm going to name her Shasta bear❤

Lovely name, yes, mine have collars on at present. I found the harnesses rubbed them between their front legs and they pull more plus IVDD research suggests collars are better. Good luck with your puppy, long haired dapple is a beautiful colour x

That looked very much like the peak district to me,.it took me back to a field study trip I did whilst at art college...........................................

@@gracieandsapphire We also were on the edge of the peak district in Derbyshire and used to go for a drink at The Barrel in lytton about 12 miles from Sheffield,we were camped in a field below a gliding club at Great Hucklow.I had the best fish and chips ever in Tideswell......................................
