I have 3 adult and 3 (almost) 8 week old dachshunds. One of my female dapples looks like Gracie. When your video showed the puppies crying (in the morning), my parents dachshunds went crazy thinking it was their babies making the sounds.

I just got a Dachsie pup. He’s about to be 4 mo’s. He’s lovely and a perfect addition to the house. Our current issue is he starts playing nice, then begins to bite, soft at first and then more aggressive and a bit harder. Is this normal from Dachsie pups?

so cute, maybe don't let them go up/down stairs though, that can increase/cause IVVD in dachshunds. (not hate just a suggestion)

Had to put my last weenie down a few years ago:( hardest thing ive ever had to do.. Now i have a boy, 2yrs old hes a red piebald dapple #5 and i love him to death. He also loves me to death. A few things i do are: My bed is off the frame and on the floor to make it easier for him to come n go. A harness is better for walks too cuz hes stubborn at times and collars choke. I dont dress him in cold because our walks are short and it doesn't get that cold here in Roseville California anyway. Lastly he loves tennis balls. My last boy loved rocks. My last female loved nothing but food.:)))

Doxies were bread to tunnel in the ground to go after rodents. I suspect that's why they love hiding under blankets.

Great video! I’m glad to see you mentioning Halti Collars. We use one with our Golden Retriever because she is full of energy and strength, and it helps us control her humanely. We’ve never used one on our mini Doxies, but this is a great idea.

I agree with all of this… We haven’t had too many serious issues with our 16 week old black & tan brothers chewing, they do get into things they shouldn’t sometimes but we quickly divert their attention to their chews and toys, we also use bitter apple to keep them from chewing what they shouldn’t and it works well. Speaking of them burrowing, we got ours tons of blankets and also carpeted cat scratchers that they can get inside of that they love playing in. It’s like they’re getting into a hole. They also get up in the morning around 7am to go out to potty and go back to sleep for a couple hours also. We also are using collars that so far they’ve done great with. We’ve used the Gentle Leads on our big dogs for pulling and they’ve been a game changer, but we never had to use them on our Doxie’s. None of them have ever pulled, in fact they usually want to be carried for their walk, lol. We’re curious about feeding raw, we’ve never done that but want to with our new boys. I’ll be checking out what videos you have about feeding raw.

How much do Gracie & Sapphy weigh? They look like they’re standards…. We’ve had two minis and both were very tiny and right around 11 pounds. We just got 2 standard brothers from the same litter. They’re 16 weeks old and weigh 9.5 & 9.2 pounds.

Glad I bought EVERY SINGLE THING!🤣 Bowls, pads, pee cleaner, treats, stairs, shampoo, blue dog food, for puppies, blue treats, a sweater, a glow-in-the-dark vest, jc. A seat belt, 🤓a lease, a collar, a miro chip. Stairs, to get on the bed, 3 circle beds, , for comfort. Santas bag of chew toys, 3 blankets. And, chicken feet. 🙏

I loved watching this video. We also have two dachshunds. One is 2,5 years old and her new sister is 10 weeks old. The older doggy, Bella has her routines, she is also fine by herself when she’s at home, alone. I mean…she was. We have a webcam so from time to time we could check on her. Since the new puppy, Lana arrived everything got messed up. We started to leave them on their own, at hone…after a 2 tweeks settling period. Unfortunately the younger puppy, Lana seems to be really nervus because of separation. She constantly barks and cries when we leave them at home. The webcam helped the older doggy when she was only a young puppy, and we still use it when we leave, but it doesn’t help Lana, the younger one. Can you please give some advises , tips and ideas what helped your puppies when you left them at home when they were young? Thank you very much in advance, Attila

Hi I love watching your videos. I had a little boy myself who unfortunately passed away.. I have now decided to get another puppy and when I went to see him I decided to TAKE TWO ❤❤ a friend told me to read about littermate syndrome and to think this over.. I was wondering if you had any problems with having them both at the same time as am now a bit worried. I have read lots on how to help them and train them to develop properly without issues and think I can do it but would love to hear how you’ve managed. Thank you so much
