Hi Chris . Always good to see how a professional cleans his rifles . I have a similar process ! Keep the films coming, they are interesting and informative.

Hi Chris , would you put an oiled patch through the barrel last as a normal cleaning process or only for storage?
@chrisparkin4312 жыл бұрын
If it was long term storage and going to get cleaned before use again then yes, I would use anti corrosion protection

What precisely do you mean by 'soak'? Does this mean slide a patch wet with solvent through and then wait a few minutes before putting a dry patch through?

How often do you clean? After every use or after a certain amount of shots? Thank you.

when i find it necessary for functional or long term storage requirements

@@chrisparkin431 any chance you could do one on rimfire cleaning or at least your take on it - whether it’s required, frequency etc please?
@chrisparkin4312 жыл бұрын
@@davidlevine9569 just do same thing and experiment yourself with your own ammo and barrel

You forgot the most important thing, always end your cleaning of your barrel with gun oil if you used strong cleaning like solvent otherwise the barrel can get rust damaged inside, i have made that mistake many times in the beginning of my shooting career

I never do that, nothing goes in but dry patches and I don't have problems. Ut if you use very aggressive solvents, do what works for you
