I own one in .22 caliber and very happy with it. I have taken the stock off and put an aluminium stock on as I wanted the adjustability which I didn’t get with this amazing looking stock. The grip on this laminate stock is amazing. It is also very light. The only issue I had with it was that for my body type, setting length of pull, moving the butt plate to suit and having a cheek riser was something I wanted. But, as it comes out the box it is an amazing laminate stock. As always as a CZ it shoots very well without any mods. I found it a bit fussy on ammo. But, then I am trying to put 5 shots through a single hole at 50 yards. I have found some Eley that works very well with the rifle. The new stock I have in the rifle is just so heavy and certainly is very specific to bench shooting, while the laminate is an all rounder and can be used for anything you need it to do. Shooting from a standing position unassisted is a breeze with this laminate stock. Thus, good for other sport shooting disciplines, but also that fast shot during a hunt, if needed.

Enjoyed the video Chris. A lot of people are critical of the 17HMR but I love shooting it in my Lithgow. Will definitely look into CZ's for my next rifle.

Well it is not that impressive. Today after hunt trip i placed clay pigeons on snow on 220 meters and 170meters. Took shots from snowwall and just my hunting bag under the rifle(sako quad hb) so we arent talking about solid support. Still managed to hit 220 plate on second shot because cold weather lowered perfomance of shots so i had to give some extra high to aimingpoint from 225m mark. (top edge to plate) But those on 170meters were dead on with 175m point. Picked all 5 of those in row even with bit shaky aiming. Gotta give credits to hawke scope which have those nice aimingpoints for distances. On summer i plinked 0.5 liter water bottles from 250 meters.

You mentioned some issues with Winchester ammunition,. actually I am glad to hear this, because I have been having problems with Winchester ammunition in .22 LR in three of my rifles , most commonly failure to eject, then also a bother failure to fire. The rifles I've been shooting with lately are A CZ 455, a Sako Finfire II, and a Savage Mark II BTVS, clean rifles, ( when I started shooting ) Is Winchester having primer and or rim size problems, does anybody know?

I have only ever heard praise for the Lithgow from KZbin videos! Although I know nothing about the trigger!

Lovely stock Chris. Looks super comfortable. Agree with fitting a cheek riser but with the extra wide cheek piece it would be very beneficial to have one with some lateral adjustment if available. I was hoping to see you do a couple of groups hand loading to compare with the magazine accuracy. Maybe for another video sometime. It holds nice consistency at the longer ranges. Look after it. Cheers.

The cheekpiece needs narrowing, not raising, its too broad. I don't own this gun, I'm just reviewing it and it's gone back like all the rest do.
@a.c.14742 жыл бұрын
@@chrisparkin431 I appreciate that. If you had lateral movement you could move it right for a wider cheek or jaw profile and you wouldn't have to alter / ruin it by narrowing it if of course if it was your own firearm which it isn't. Once you start narrowing and chopping things around to your body profile it's difficult to sell on

Your scope looks to be mounted very low to the barrell ,is this for maximum turret elevation in your opinion ?

Chris, when you get a light primer strike, why not just recock and try again?
