@@shacco6563 there is one major problem with this.This site makes the other gods into " conscious energies" rather than children of the Supreme God.Also the orishas aren't aspects of him and in historical texts the Supreme God has nothing to do with humans that's why the other gods were made to take care of everything

Stunning! - though I think we will always have a problem others understanding the Yoruba culture if we keep referring to Orisas as God of this and God of that, that's why mainstream religions accuse us of having multiple Gods. We know there's only one creator, one "God", Ogun, Osun, Sango, Sopona etc..are put simply; Orisas (it was colonials that interpreted them as "Gods"), no interpretation into English is required or necessary. If someone is interested in finding out what they represent, then they should, but generally speaking to Yorubas they are ancestors who did exceptional things on earth.

TK Ooo Actually The idea of one God is a colonial invention Olorun=Olo orun=owner of the sky Oluwa=Olu Wa= King has come Eledumare= One that leads to infinite possibilities ( this can be found in the word esumare) The problem is you are a christian like most naija and you are trying to make yoruba fit christianity...it wont work....That is what the greatest yoruba man Fela was trying to teach...listen to his song shuffering and smiling
