I lived and worked there for 6 years. My little house was the only stone house on the meadow and when I opened my front door, my view was Half Dome. The place is magical and it was the best 6 years of my life.

@@gamingawesome2302 I doubt there are deadlines when you're just sitting inside a box shelter and waiting for nature to do something ! Check out the behind the scene bonus footage of Planet Earth 2, it's cool because as they say " animals dont read scripts" . And I think some of these features take years and years to make. For example the Siberian tiger from Planet Earth took like forever to capture. Multiple seasons of setup camera traps, as they're really elusive

Flew my mom out to California for her 70th birthday in January 2020. We managed to visit Lake Tahoe, little bit of gambling and dinner at HardRock casino on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, Muir woods, Alcatraz Island and dinner on Pier 39 overlooking San Francisco Bay, The California state railroad museum in Sacramento. But by far, the best place we visited last was Yosemite. It snowed 2 days before we arrived and to see this place, is something that I'll never forget. No words, no pictures ( figuratively speaking) and documentaries can capture just how beautiful Yosemite really is.....you just have to go and see for yourself.

I love it when we can watch nature without narration commandeering the experience with words. This is a pristine experience and I for one love it that way…almost as if we’re observing it firsthand as a fly on the wall. Thank you NGeo!
