I recently found out that in order to get Religious Settlements at Immortal difficulty, you need to be able to get a Pantheon by turn 9.

Yeah getting religious settlements now is nearly impossible, unless you get a relic on like turn 1-3 or can settle with a tile that has more than +2 fpt.

@@boesthius i forgot the name of that natural wonder with the science and faith on adjacent tiles, I managed to settle next to the sweet spot of 3 science 3 faith to get Pantheon by turn 9. Was a nightmare. Step up from Emperor to Immortal is not trivial

The seed worked for me on Switch on June 1st, 2023. It spawned with a camp on the north tile, and adjacent to it a tribal hut with guaranteed Voidsingers. I've saved the turn 1 file because I had first religion and pantheon to boot.

27:45 It's also for locking in before strategic resources are discovered. It can really mess up your game if a Iron or Niter spawn on a + 6 or more spot for a district. I always try to check if there is any vital spot for districts right before a new strategic resource are discovered.

Yes,100% true, I went through so much pain because niter spawned on a tile I had saved for a +8 industrial zone before I placed it down. I had to go with a +4 one instead, which was a shame because I had planned the aqueduct dams and other districts so nicely

I got a start right next to a city States settler, the shallow water production city state and and a coast culture city state on one continent with only China nearby and happen to start with Australia and was 12 cities deep with still so much room st turn 85

They are seriously one of the most useful things in this game - I use them constantly for everything: wonders, districts, improvements, city placement. So good.

@@boesthius Have you ever weighed in on the AI? I've played Civ 2 - 3 - 4- 5 , and now 6... And I haven't tried a mod for AI, but as everyone complains, why is the AI so badly designed? Not even talking about planning, why can't they design the concept of move to high ground, put infantry in front of archer / ranged? Wars are fought that way.

Why does your holy site adjacency bonus counts in some tundra tiles twice, is this something specific to Secret societies mod? I play without it. Thanks.

Because of the policy card Scripture which gives you 100% Holy site adjacency bonuses

Not a dumb question at all, I actually get it a lot on stream!! Its a setting - if you go to the settings and go to interface there's a section that you can change it to Always Show, Hover, or never show :)

I don' t know how to make mods.. I have a job already.. I play for fun... So you mod people... Make the followign... There needs to be a mod - a district where you build an encampment, maybe a barracks... And then once completed, you get a free Army or Calvary Unit... And then every 30 turns / then 45 / then 60 turns.. you get the most modern Infantry or Calvary unit... I've played Civ 6 a few times.. The encampment is almost pointless given you can just purchase units.... But if it "generates a unit" without taking away from your city production projects, that would make it more worth it.

it's actually pretty useful in domination games, as the great general points early game are very important in order to get a great general for war. additionally, the usefulness that comes from being able to get military engineers for later aerodromes makes it completely worth it as well.

You can make armies and corps from them, they earn you great generals(super important for higher difficulty domination games) give your city additional production and late game even science, they are fine as is imo. Plus they are super important in multiplayer games
