I'm happy to be seeing these multi-person reviews. It was the Top 10 lists that brought me here so many years ago, and going back to Miami Dice, along with 4 Squares and Catchupalooza, I've always appreciated the discussions. I'm not even more interested in these games in particular, but I am more likely to watch the reviews simply because of the discussions. 👍 On a side note, I'm happy to see The Dice Tower doing well enough to get more people involved in the business. That's great for your company, great that more people can get paid to do something that they love, and also great for us fans. 😎

What a bad reflection of one of the most beautiful places on earth. Hopefully a game comes out that showcases that.

Really going to miss your T.A.R.G.E.T. system Zee! Don't be afraid to bring that back with 2 person reviews!

All those videos and I never actually realized that about his metric.

If someone is going to use shutterstock for artwork, make sure it's a correct image. "Toulumne Meadows" is a picture of Half Dome from the meadow by the Ahwahnee Hotel.

Just wondering... is that opening song Zee's theme. Everytime i hear it i always think Zee. Its like a pavlov conditioning
@soogymoogi2 жыл бұрын
I've always considered it his theme!

@@soogymoogi yep, and another reason why they need to figure out the Dice Tower Studio stuff. The run times are creeping up as well due to the other reviewer tagging along. Couldn't you just add the scores of the other reviewers who played it at the end of the video? We really need tag team reviews?

"Additional art by shutterstock" is one of the worst things in a rulebook I think I've ever heard

YES - After Ark Nova and this, I'm kind of afraid a lot of games are going to go this route to avoid paying artists as much as they should...

I'm fine with it. I'm a gamer that likes to play the game.

Loving the Zee/Chris combo. Shame to think we may be hitting the saturation point of "nature theme" and we'll see more mediocre games with it slapped on.

Thanks for the review. Is there a reason you don't mention what the 'better' titles are and leave it vague at the end? Instead, would you be willing to state a few better tug-of-war titles and a few better set collection titles, or whatever aspects of the reviewed game you think other games do better? Just a thought, but it would be helpful more generally.

Even if just to benefit people new to the hobby.

I think the reason people don't do that is to keep the attention on the game at hand so as to not confuse the viewer. You can search best 2 player games and find a top 10 list pretty easy if your in the market for one.

Two of my favorite 2-player games have tug of war elements - Hanamikoji and Lawyer Up. Try those if you haven't

They have some top 10s you can look at.

When you have 2 people doing a review it would drag on too much if they did that. The videos are already overstaying their welcome a bit by adding twice the number of opinions. They could solve this by easily adding other reviewers scores at the end of the solo reviewers score.

Seems inspired from Bumuntu a bit. Would rather play that one I think.

LOL, wow, well turns out it’s the same designer. Makes sense.

it's the 2-player version of Bumuntu, to make it allegedly better for 2-player count (the animal value speculation works better at high player count in Bumuntu). That's why I'm bummed Tom wasn't on the lineup, to make the comparison to the game he reviewed and liked.

Baffling that there isn't 2 player aids. I still can't get over that! I saw a play through of this and thought it looked fun. But it does seem like Chris said - there's not a real hook.

I don’t know. This game could have been titles as anything, there isn’t anything specific to experiencing Yosemite. But I guess this could be a game sold in the children’s section at a gift shop in Yosemite.

Despite this review, I decided to give the game a try. And I think it's fine. It isn't perfect, but it definitely isn't a 4.5.

Just trying to get a piece of the action in this "nature themed" trend, I guess. Too bad it sucks.

I was very interested in this game after first hearing about it during GenCon, so it's disappointing to hear that it's such a dud, but I really appreciate you saving me some money. Pass.

When you were going over the game play it seemed incredibly flat - where’s the fun? I think they forgot to add that to the box!

Could I ask what is happening with the "Dice Tower Studios" stuff? Do I really need to watch the first 30 seconds of every video to see if reviewers I enjoy will be doing the review? I know everyone has their favorite reviewers on here, or simply someone who they feel lines up with their tastes, so I cannot be alone in my thought. Typically people knew if it was a puzzle game Zee would review it, if it was Viking or war themed game Sam would, and the mish mash would go to Tom. I understand if you're trying to get more involvement with the newer reviewers, but like Tom and Zee, I am sure they have a niche type of game they are known for. Chris, the dry euro, Camilla the crunchy horror theme, and Roy the sci fi, Marvel stuff. The 4 square covers the larger games, and that has always been a thing going back to Miami Dice. It was nice to see crossover videos, but is every video going to have multiple reviewers now? No more TARGET system for Zee? IDK what the thought process is, but in the very least could you add who is doing the review in the thumbnail to save people time?

They are a company at the end of the day. The more vids the put out the more money they make on clicks. I do feel they're going away from what made them a great place to see a review. Guess that happens when a great one man show becomes, 2, 3 and then 12. Will always enjoy Tom's solo reviews though. Such passion!
