It's got me thinking, they're using that theory about the pelican parents give their kids when the kids are too young to know how babies are made. Kids, your parents made you by puting their DNA together themselves... Makes sense out of how we exist, but what about Mario? I know for a fact Mario is actually Nintendo's own made race of human, not sure if there is a place where pelicans carry babies without parents to the babies' new parents in the world of Mario Nintendo made up. But make as much fun of that as you can, it explains the whole game Yoshi's Island.

It wasn't until at least Bowser Jr.'s debut that they began to change their mind on that, listing them as his minions instead. Wouldn't be the first time that happened. Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels gave Bowser a brother - cleverly named Bowser's Brother - before they changed him to a particularly convincing Fake Bowser. Then changed him again to "a mysterious individual."

@@lejohn2682 No, its a new time line in mario's chronology. Yoshi island and yoshi island ds is in the old universe, this game is in the new universe. Yoshi new island is the equivalent of yoshi island 1 but in another universe after Super mario galaxy 1 and Mario's time machine. That's why mario is in this game because he goes to the past to try to change the history because bowser caused many problems in the old universe in time and space. In this new universe we have Yoshi New Island, Mario Clash 3D, New super mario bros games including DS and Wii/WiiU versions, New Super Luigi U, Super Mario 3D World, Luigi's mansion 3, Super mario 64 DS, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Dream team bros, Suoer Mario 3D Land, all games of Mario vs Donkey Kong in DS, super mario oddisey and super mario land 1, 2 and 3, ETC. And more new mario's games in the future ;). Or Another games of mario of 2010s depending.
