I've been playing the drums for around 40 years. About 14 years ago I had to have a C6 - C7 fusion. Degenerative disc disease. I was in the US Navy Band at the time and got 3 weeks off to recover. Glad I did it but it comes with life long pain but not as bad as it used to be... good luck in recovery. Interesting solo concept.

Yoshiki, you’ve been my inspiration for years. Just had my second neck surgery back in November of 2022. The first one was in Mach of 2021. The fusion failed and the hardware was loose. I unfortunately lost my voice after the second surgery. The nerves on the right side of my larynx were severed and they aren’t regrowing.
