I knew immediately that it was going to be like this when I saw the thumbnail. This is an actual in-game bug with a conflict of attachments, specifically if your MCPR-300 has the Cronen Irons and any Barrel attachment. Other attachments have little to no effect on it.

I tried to use this exact setup when I was leveling the gun up and I am so glad you figured this out. For anyone that's wondering, the bug is specifically with the iron sights and Integral suppressor barrel on the MCPR, I haven't found any indication of it happening anywhere else.
