Installing A C4 Lo Pro Bumper | Winch & Light Bar | Toyota 4Runner

Looking to upgrade the looks and strength of your 4runner front end? In this video, we do just that with the Lo Pro bumper from C4 Fab. Along with a warn winch and a 30" light bar from Baja Designs. Overall everything was a pretty easy and straightforward install. If you're intimidated by an installation like this, don't be, you can do it.

This is hands down one of the best step by step videos on the install I have seen, great job!!! Did you grade the springs for the added weight of the winch and bumper? And would it sag if I added this to a stock 2022 Pro? Thanks in advance.

Thanks!! We didn't switch out the springs on our suspension. We are currently running the ICON stage 1 lift kit. After adding the bumper and winch we adjusted the front a little to make up for the added weight. As far as adding a bumper to your stock TRD Pro...I'm sure the fox suspension would perform better than the standard suspension but it's still going to sag from the extra weight, the question is how much.

We have OEM style switches that go right in the dash vs having to drill a hole for the generic style switches they normally come with. In this install we hooked it up to our switch panel which makes it super easy.

Have you had any problem with the light bar. I had my first light bar and left section died in 28 days. So I took it back to 88 rotors and they install the second one. And now it’s two days and the center doesn’t work .

Hey! I'm thinking of converting my 2017 4runner limited's front end to a trd pro bumper. I was wondering, if I installed a c4 lo pro bumper onto my stock 4runner with stock suspension, would it create a lot of sag? If so, would you recommend maybe a leveling kit to balance it out or doing a lift? I don't plan on doing any serious overlanding, but the occasional camping/snowboarding trip. Thank you!

I would recommend upgrading the front suspension and getting a stiffer spring for the weight. Bilstein 6112 would be a nice option.

I'm preparing do this install with a gen 3 Smitty built 10k winch and adding the high clearance additions at the same time. I need to go buy a torque wrench and maybe a few socket extensions. Do you have a list of all tools used during the process and maybe some extra non necessary extras that help make it easier if you do have them? Once i take this thing apart it makes it real hard to run to the local hardware store for a random missing piece or two. Thanks if you can come up with a list if not no worries this video is more than helpful

Hey Joseph. Off the top of my head I cant remember all the tools used. I would just start with the basics. 10,12,14,17,19mm. Something to cut the bumper with. And maybe a jack to help you get it lifted and installed.

I'll probably end up watching 2 or 3 more times before I dive in. I'll make notes as I watch. Recommend touque wrench?

Torque wrench is not needed but it depends how specific you want to get with your tightening

Are the lead times on this bumper 10 weeks like their website says? I saw something a couple months ago that said they cut their lead times to 2 weeks

I have the same BD Light Bar you do but am using their Baja Designs S8/IR Wire Harness with Mode-2 Bar max 325 watts - 640122 and want to wire it into a Small Style Toyota OEM Style "LED LIGHT BAR" Switch × 1. Do I cut off the two switches on the harness and tie into the switch?

Correct, you don't need to use those switches. You can Take the wires off the Baja switch and put them on to an OEM style switch. You will need 2 switches though if you want to run the light bar and the backlighting separately.

The stock 4Runner suspension is pretty soft to begin with. I would suggest upgrading the front suspension.

Bilstein 5100 is a good option. Its adjustable, so you can put it at the lowest setting to keep it closer to stock. And for the springs I would go with OME 2885 or 2887. Your next option from there is the Bilstein 6112s. They're a bit beefier and come with springs already. Check out our website for some options and if you don't see something you want just shoot us an email and we can probably get it.

A lot of bumpers come that way. Or give you the option if you want it powder coated but obviously adds cost. Not sure why C4 doesn't offer that option. That's something we would like to offer for C4 products if ordered through us.
