Absolutely great video. I do have a question, however. At the 2:47 mark in your video with the engine compartment fuse cover off, I see a red jumper wire in the fuse box. Is this a work around for an "anytime fog light" modification? Curious minds NEED to know! :)

I just installed mine this past June & noticed moisture in 3 of 4. Would I need to replace these? I'm scared it might mess up my computer box.

Amazingly helpful video! Thank you so much! I do have one question: Could I add the fuse jumper to the 15amp fog light (FOG FR) fuse, or does it need to be a 10amp fuse? I'm trying to get the raptor lights to turn on with my fog lights, and wondering how best to do that.

Adding them to your fog fuse will be fine

As long as the plugs are the same you should be fine!

Is there a wiring solution that doesn't involve those add-a-fuse jumpers? I've had bad experiences with them in the past and would prefer to avoid them.

You can splice the wire in with your running lights and eliminate putting it in to the fuse box. Or if you have more lighting you can get a switch panel and wire your raptor lights in to that. We have a full switch panel kit with bracket coming soon.

Loved this install video! I have LED raptor lights that mount on the horizontal bars of a 2023 T4R ORP (replaces the chrome horizontal trim in upper grille). They have amber LEDs for turn signal and white LEDs for daytime running lights. I tapped into the factory halogen DRL wires (This T4R has factory LED High/Low beams so DRL are not high beams too), but they only work with the factory DRL bub plug disconnected. As soon as I connect the factory bulb plug, the aftermarket LED running lights go out and the factory halogen DRL operate as normal. Why is it that either the factory DRL work but not the aftermarket LED running lights although tapped before the halogen bulb plug? I can wire the aftermarket running light wires to the inside fuse box as on this video, but then they are ignition controlled, not with DRL. Where do you tap to get turn signal light blinking? Do you need to install resistors for adding additional LED turn signal lights to the factory halogen turn signal wires?

Hey Bob, Do the grille bar lights have a black, white and yellow wire? I never personally installed a set but the white wire would get tapped into your DRL wiring and the yellow wire would get tapped into your turn signal wiring. Black is obviously your ground. That should allow the lights to work properly.

Yes, I tapped the white to DRL Power (+) , black to DRL ground (-). With DRL connector unplugged, the white LED work. When DRL connector plugged into factory halogen DRL bulb, the LED goes out, but factory halogen DRL comes on.

I figured out the problem! On my 23 4Runner ORP, the DRL are wired in series, not parallel. This means the 12 VDC was coming to the passenger driving light on a green wire to the passenger DRL, then going to the driver's DRL via a pink wire. The Driver's DRL then went to ground on a white/black wire. Series splits the voltage for every light in the series. In this case, I only had 6 VDC going to each halogen bulb, making it dimmer than if 12 VDC were going to each bulb. I purchased a 9005 DT plug extender. On the passenger side, I removed the black pin from the DT extension connector. I wired that black wire directly to ground. The factory green went to the red side of the the extender DT connector. I tapped the red wire from the extender and placed it back in the DT connector where the black wire was pinned (Now 12 VDC is on both red wire pins of the extension DT connector). This new Red wire carries 12 VDC on the pink factory wire to the driver's side DRL, which is already grounded. I did not touch the Driver's side DRL wiring. This puts 12 VDC to each running light, allowing you to run LED 9005 bulbs and also powers my raptor lights when factory DRL are on. This rewired extender can be removed and its back to factory series wired DRL.

I wired the lights into the 10A IGN2 fuse and now the car won’t start. Any suggestions? Its a 2023 TRD Pro

You probably don't have the fuse pushed all the way in your fuse box.

I had the same exact problem tonight, I'll double check, but I'm almost certain i pushed it in all the way. I even tried various 10amp fuse locations, same result

Yeah I definitely had mine pushed in all the way. Haven’t tried different fuses yet but will today to see if that fixes the issue.

Just find a fuse location that only has power when then ignition is on and you'll be good. Your other option is to use a wire tap and get power from the wire going to your running lights in your headlights. This way you're not messing with any fuse locations.

The 2 fuse connections suggested (ign and ign 2) give me multiple dash warnings. Have to disconnect and clear codes. Got a fix? 23 4runner trd pro

Either the fuse tap is not plugged all the way in or is faulty. Try another fuse location that is ignition power

Yes, take the fuse you removed from your fuse box and put it in the fuse tap.

I don't know if you know anything about fuses, but the size on the add a fuse is for a mini (a fuse size) and the fuses in my car were low profile minis, so they wont fit in the mini slot. Assuming I just need to order a 10A Mini fuse to plug into the add a fuse. Since when I plugged it into the tail position my taillights turned off
