So I find this guy's Borderands 2 videos, and learn that Yoteslaya; a guy who seems pretty cool (if a bit too talkative) is, in fact, deceased. And even though I never knew the guy, that made me feel bad. Then go look up this video, just looking for any helpful strategies on how to defeat Voradickous the Asshat, and what's the first thing I hear? 'Whoracle,' by In Flames. Brian Rickhard was a fellow In Flames fan, but he's dead. Now I legitimately feel like shit.

If anyone wants to take on Voracidous with a party, take at least 3 people, a siren, an assassin, and any other. The key to this is to eliminate Chief Ngwatu because after a certain point, he will basically, "transplant" his own shield to Voracidous (which is why Yote was having so much trouble taking it down, the chief is using an Invincible's shield). So here's what you do: have the assassin spec a lot on snipers and critical damage, and give him a "TRESPASSER" it's a jakobs sniper rifle that *IGNORES the shield* and attacks the health straight. Then have the siren phaselock him and the assassin shoot his critical spots as much as possible, usually this will kill him, and the shield is now completely done for, and suddenly Voracidous is pretty much two times easier to kill. :)

KRIMZONMEKANISM hell yeah man, im on ps3, when you get it, you can add me, i started kinda like a store, ive got lvl 50 legendaries, seraphs and pearls and uniques, then 60 same and 70 same...thinking about doing the same with op gear as well, that way if i come across people who are needing things at those levels i can dupe them cuz i be damned if i trade or sell my stuff to em, especially since i farm for 3 hrs to get a certain item lmao, but when you do get it and get to 50 and all ill definitely dupe ya some cool gear, just to help ya out

Hardest is Voracidous, of course. In this battle, nothing is about strategy. Its more like a DPS race, between you and the boss. I mean, yeah, you can kill the chief before he pass his shield to voracidous, but doesnt matter. In that case Voracidous starts with the Damage Novas and, unless you're a Gunzerker, at that point the battle is over. The ammo is a problem too. Basically, if you want to beat this boss, you want to do it quickly. The easiest, at least for me, is Hyperius/Terramorphous

the chief and voracidous share the same shield. if there is damage done to the shield when the chief has it, then there will be a portion of the shield missing when voracidous gets it. if you pause the video and play frame by frame between 11:37 and 11:40 you will see what i mean.

my idea is that the chief shield is transfer to vora. the chief health isnt that much compare to his epic shield. but watching what I just saw is that if u can take that shield out in anyway. like a static leech with shock guns to focus him down. u might have a chance. also I also think having a couple sirens with revives and gunzerkers sounds like the ideal plan. im just a assassin lvl 44. and this is my only idea of the way to beat him. (gunzerker with the middle fingle sounds best for him)

Yote if you get the Sniper called the Trass-Passer it can take down an enemies health without damaging there shield, it kills the chief in about 5 hits, then his shield doesn't pass over too Voracidous! And it's a lot easier! I don't normally ask for thumbs up but this will help him so much!

They share the same shield and switch it to whomever is taking the damage. I do not know if it is possible but try to damage the chief a little so he keeps the shield, and then damage the stalker so it switches and so forth. If you kill the chief it permanently switches to the stalker so be careful. It seems as if you can manipulate the shield if you are careful.

i first went with a single slag turret with dual guns, but i respeced my points for a double gun build. the slag is WAY better for raid bosses, but dual turrets are good for distractions

For Voracidous, when he gets to half health, he steals whatever remaining shield that the Chief has, Yote. So, the more of the Chief's shield you take out, the less that Voracidous can absorb when he's down to half health.

I've tried him a couple times, and I think that Chief Ngwatu gives Voracidous the shields the Chief has once Voracidous takes a certain amount of damage, and then kill the Chief, I don't know, but I assume if you don't kill the Chief, he can regen shields. Not sure though, I only tried killing Voracidous like eight times. I also think that Voracidous resists corrosive and fire damage, maybe the other elements as well. Hope this helps. the trouble with the new invincible "varacidous" is you shouldn't need a special sniper rifle to beat him. To the point where the fight is impossible without it. And gearbox wonder why so many people use the evil smasher?

To get the Chief down real easy you can use the sniper rifle that you get from a quest from Mordekai. I think it's the Trespasser or something. Anyway, the cheif will go down with 4-5 criticals from that gun. :) Afterwards it's all about dealing with that beast voracidous. Hope it will be of some help.

The bee shield hurts you more than helps during this fight. With the Chief, the savages, and Voracidous all coming at you, theres no way to maintain a full shield to get the amp damage. I recommend something with a low recharge delay and/or quick recharge rate.

Hey Yoteslaya, if you didn't know this boss was made to make use of the Bee harder. The chief has a full area effect attack that hinders it. Just a heads up.

This is true. It also seems that if you can keep the chief alive longer the better, but wait too long to kill him and he gives the big V his shield. And you'll notice NOTHING gets through the chiefs shield. That guy puts the Bee shield to shame!

The Chief is the guy you wanna kill first, you can get Voracidous down to a bit less than 1/2 health before the Chief regens his shields. If you have Immolate on your Siren and the Chief is dead then you can kill Voracidous in Fight for Your Life with a powerful gun.

dexidous the invincible is a driftor that spawns after you put eridium in four furnaces and each one cost differently which are 21 23 25 and 27 eridium and it's way easier to beat him just have to kill the savages that spawn in first before he does

It seems that the Voracidus steals the shield from the Witch doctor when he's alive, and somehow recharges his shields otherwise when the witch doctor is dead. Try and get the Witch doctor's shield all the way down (or as little as possible) without killing him, so that Voracidus won't have that much shield to steal.

Yote, he's much easier to kill with a Gunzerker dual wielding fibbers, because even if your Bee shield does go down it does massive damage. Plus you regenerate health from it. Also, from the times I've killed him I just focused on Voracidous and ran around the arena in a circle. Btw he doesn't drop legendaries very well. I've killed him atleast 15 times and have only gotten a seraph shotgun.

I reckon axton and gaige would be good against him, cause they can summon another ally to aid them. Plus, the turret has the phalanx shield, and deathtrap can return shields of allies

its best to have a gunzerker that is to tank in brawn side so when the cheif spawns he can pull the aggro to the zerker. zerker has a skill that when ur gunzerking u flick the middle finger to them and gives u full health instantly and also gives u a massive damage resistance and aggro. the zerker and the cheif can just run in circles once the zerker has the aggro from the cheif. AGGRO means taking the attention from someone and making them focus on u and only

it looks like he shares the shield. once he transferd the shield to the invenceable on the last one. it had the same amount he did. just unload a BUTLOAD of shock weapons/nades. i got some nasty 17k x10 child thunder-buster grenades and chucking 2x out on gunzerk. would tear it a new one.

The chief will transfer the whatever shield he has to Voracidous during the fight which leaves him vulnerable. Don't shoot the chief at this point... If the chief dies while Voracidous has the shield, he (Voracidous) will continue to do a blast attack similar to Hyperius. If you shoot the chief at the very beginning, you can take out some of the shield before he transfers it to Voracidous. I'm guessing that once the shield is gone he wont do the blast attack, but I haven't gotten that far...

you need to use a really good shock weapon on the cheif and don't let it regenerate because the chiefs shield is converting onto the stalkers so the stalker has a shield

The raid boss drops legendary class mods and seraph weapons. I got the Legendary Commando Class mod earlier today and a fire Interfacer. I did glitch to get them though. I got really impatient.

The chief can't be injured when he has his shield. He'll give his shield to the invincible and then he can be injured but the invincible is left with a shield.

Use the trespasser from the mission Animal Rights to kill chef nigeragua in one clip! Use the fire nor fleet to kill the invincible. Use the seraph torgue shield that drops rocket ammo to replenish lost rockets. Then use the blood of the seraphs to regain health!! Hope it helped!!!

Yo YOTE! I found the other raid boss today. There's 4 totems where you dispose eridium around Hunter's grotto (about 90 total) then near the shack with hammerlock there's a totem with 4 torches and a switch next to it. Once you've flicked the switch you battle a bunch of normal enemies and then the Invincible comes in. I'll leave it to you to check him out but he's pretty easy to kill. Have fun bro!

use the trespasser sniper rifle to kill the chief, the chief's health is small, but his shield is huge, with the trespasser sniper you can ignore his shield and kill both him and his shield before he gives it to voracidous

Thats was what the furnaces is for, put eridium in it and waited for something to happen, nothing happend so figured it had to be a challenge, but i didnt look for it, i think i need one more then he spawns. Does he spawn a particilar place or just random?

Yote something i noticed. Whenever yo uguys focused on the chiefs shield. Whenever the boss attacked him and got the shield. It was low. So working on the shield on the chief it transfered to the boss. So if you can do some dps on both sides, then that may work. But I noticed that the shield did get TRANSFERRED. Here's what I think. Kill the stalker without killing the chief, because if the chief dies, then the stalker will go all rage mode and its insta-death. When the midgets come out, try to kill them right away because they will try to kill the chief.

the boost it causes is only ment to be on the smasher. the fact that you can switch guns fastly and cenvert the effect onto other guns is the glitch! Also, this will probably be patched soon, because they will patch it, as soon as the know how overpowered this is!

Don't Grounded / Inflammable / Alkaline etc shields only resist the DoT type damage from their respective elemental attacks, and not the direct damage they inflict? Pretty sure these types of shields only make you immune to the DoT. If so, I couldn't see how a Grounded shield would help here, for the shields are being depleted by the lightning attacks, and not electrocution. Adaptive shields on the other hand, *might* work. Emphasis on *might*.

I think you have to keep them both alive as long as possible. fight vorac until he gets the shield. then do some damage to the chief and move back to vorac. then the chief will take his shield back and you can hurt vorac again. basically they are sharing the shield.

from my experience, vora gains a giant speed boost and that insta-slam attack i mentioned. He always seems to fall right on top of you and then blocks any attempts of reviving with his huge body. I've fought all the raid bosses and Voracidious is the most annoying. 2nd place would probably be Master Gee due who can instantly make the entire arena fill with corrosive. (Lucky for vault hunters, they have shields not armor)

Using the Trespasser unique sniper, which will ignore all shields to kill ngwatu immediately will prevent voracidious from gaining a shield making this fight much easier.
