It is marvellous to see and hear her again in the Humoreske which one heard her play here in South Africa, all of 35 years ago. This most satisfying of Robert Schumann's works De Larrocha has complete mastery of, in tempos and expression.

I try to educate myself on classical music, I read music history books, I heard most of the well known pieces, tried to appreciate some composers like Milhaud, but for like two years now, I keep returning to Schumann... At this point, I don't even know if my feelings, thoughts, are what they are because of him, or if I keep listening to him because of them.
