They slow roll repayment and ask for the same paperwork on service-connected disability claims. I've been waiting on payment for a surgery for almost 3 years now.

You may want to consider following up because it seems like they either intentionally misplaced or shredded your claim. I have a 100% service-disconnected disability, and my medical treatments are the same every month. Despite this, they still reject them and ask for the same documents that they previously approved me for. It feels like the VA is broken and will continue to be broken even after I'm gone. is broken and will continue to be broken even after I'm gone.

@@syv9840 Yes. I've had 4 prior surgeries for this service connected disability they've approved. Suddenly, they're asking for all the paperwork in triplicates for the fifth.

Va fmp does not work in the Philippines, all the hospitals and clinics stopped accepting FMP because of non payment, so they stopped accepting veterans, now you have to pay all expenses up front and get denied later. FMP is a joke and so is the VA clinic in manila. They no longer give out meds or treat veterans anymore. They refer you over to FMP now. Clinic will see you once a year to do urine and labs and make sure your alive and out the door you go without any medical care given. They no longer give any pain meds to vets either. Your sol

FMP program in Philippines is a joke, Hospitals and clinics have stopped enrollment of veterans because of slow or no reimbursement by FMP. So now you have to pay all upfront cost to be denied later on. Va clinic manila dont care about vets or care and you can no longer get meds or pain meds from clinic. Its just a jobs program now and not for veterans living here.

But it only covers Service Connected conditions, even those rated 0%. But it is better than nothing, namely if you are only being treated by a community doctor for those issues.

You heard wrong, Joseph! The FMP is alive and well in the Philippines. For eligible Veterans living or traveling abroad, VA offers certain necessary medical services through the Foreign Medical Program (FMP). You can get answers to your questions by calling 877-345-8179, or send an email to: hac.fmp@va.gov.
