Children can be used to trap people in a relationship, especially women. Considering she isn’t smart enough to identify when she’s being abused and take actions to prevent it. It doesn’t surprise me that she went on to have children with her abuser who probably didn’t give her much choice in the matter. It gives the abuser all sorts of emotional control over the ‘mother’ not to mention if they tried to just leave with the kids and didn’t have enough evidence as to why, they can be jailed for kidnapping and loose all their rights immediately.

To be fair some judges ignore abuse victims even when there’s children in the house. And victims can end up jailed and lose custody if they try to run. It’s why some abused children end up dead because of joint custody despite evidence to show the child is in danger. A recent case where a cop father was shown to be abusive to his autistic son but a judge ignored the mom and school’s plea and he could have some custody then the child died from neglect and abuse.

It’s crazy when you know someone for so long that you trust them. You think they’re a good person but good people snap. I was friends with someone for long time and I completely trusted him around children. One day on Facebook, I saw he was having a child with someone. I was so happy for him because I recently had mine. Then two months later I checked Facebook and his whole family said RIP for the little baby only at two months. I was so shocked and I thought an accident happened. Then I saw people bashing him and I was so confused. He shook the baby and threw him across the room multiple times. I couldn’t believe what I was reading and he finally got his sentence last month I believe for life in prison. I just could never see him doing that because he was such a niceeeee person. He knew my entire family and everyone was so confused on why. His name was Zach Mccaa and he was from Caledonia, NY. He pleaded not guilty yet he was the only one home

Why are so many people so ignorant about domestic violence? Within the first year many victims are killed when they try to leave or their children are abused or killed because a judge doesn’t take the claims seriously despite hospital visits. Domestic violence starts with mental abuse first then emotional and physical and financial. It’s easy for some people who never experienced it to lack empathy or refuse to do research. This of course makes it easier for abusers to use other people to gain more control over their victims. That willful ignorance.
