You Actually CAN Lose Your Job For Getting Pregnant in the US 😱

Did you know that FMLA (the law that protects women from losing their job on maternity leave) ONLY kicks in when you’ve worked somewhere for 12 months?
I would have been at my job for 10 months when I give birth and had NO guarantee of having a job to come back to!!! Thank goodness my new job is WAY more accommodating and doing the right thing!!!

@@katherineb715 omg that’s awful! I would look into attorneys and then if they do let you go you have a case. That’s so frustrating! They’re clearly trying to build a case in case they want to let you go. I’m so sorry you’re going through that. I would start looking for jobs anyway, you may find something better! I scored my dream job at 8 months pregnant and they were fantastic with my pregnancy and newborn!

Malaysian, pregnant left the last one on April 30th coz they were abusive and now I can't get a job being only 25 weeks pregnant and financially unstable. Well I'm blessed to have ppl helping me, for now but I feel useless as f. 😅 anyway life must go on.
