Your challenge videos, I swear I come back to them all at least once a year and binge watch them all. The best challenge creator on the platform.

Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions and being honest. Branching out, I'd love to see expansion into Lunar, Breath of Fire, Grandia, Dragon Quest, and maybe some Chrono Trigger/Cross challenges. I'm sure you could find some good challenges in there.

Hey nice video, I appreciate the part where you talked about your integrity as the "grinder", I can honestly say that's why I keep coming back to your videos. I used to watch Pokemon/ Nuzlocke videos, where essentially you can only catch 1 Pokemon per route and if they faint u have to release them and you can essentially game over and have to start over, but then those runs gained traction quickly and alot of CCs spammed them and you noticed none of them really grinded in their footages, which is important because you can lose pokemon during those grind sessions. Some of them revealed that they just cheat in "leveling potions" to cut out the grinding (I mean you speed up emulators anyway, but whatever), however that suddenly made every Pokemon run I watched afterwards questionable and took the intrigue out. In randomizers they'd have like a hype episode 1 with legendaries and their "real" legendary would randomize into crap or they'd stream hardcore runs where they'd ALWAYS catch the perfect mons and brag how they'd beaten most difficult romhacks etc and all I could think of was: Yeah you just hacked it in for views - and more often than not it's true. You got everything you need and just go through the motions, that's nothing worth watching imo, because there is nothing to it and I completely stopped watching those because I know it's possible if you just hack in the tools you need. However there is one content creator that's like janky as duck in the nicest way possible and that's Jrose11 who does these videos with "minimal" editing and random moments and ppl like watching him because he's authentic. He plays the game like you would play it at home but then adds limitations and the fun part is seeing how he deals with those. That's where I think your strength is. There are ppl that enjoy the grind, we know what the grind feels like and then we can watch someone that goes above and beyond and we know he really does it. If you need to reset a boss several times for a steal and finally get it, I as a viewer get hype with you because I know the struggle. If you just cheated in the items you needed....you'd just be going through the motions and we know you win anyway. With your videos personally it's not about the destination but the journey. Have a nice grind!

Appreciate hearing your answer, all very valid reasons. I wasn't aware of how much copyright there was for FF games, shame about 13-2 being so buggy though I hadn't seen the FF16 challenge, quite possibly due to not following you at the time and the algorithm clearly not showing it. I'm not a huge fan of 12 myself, but that does explain why there aren't as many challenges on the channel compared to other games

Primal is just built differently. Bro grind is insane on rpgs. I wish i was as fast.

haha its a little different when it used to be my full time job that i could spend all day, every day on it

i understand zoning out while grinding. its what got me through my runescape ironman challenge years ago. need to get back to that once i get a more stable work schedule. was kinda fun

Really good video. I’ve sometimes been critical, but I have to say I really respect you. Your honesty and outlook is refreshing. Fingers crossed everything goes well with the house purchase. The process is such a ballache! I’m currently rewatching your FF9 100% playthrough. Love that series 👌🏼
@Primalliquid92Ай бұрын
can i ask what you mean by honesty and outlook? like i went over alot in this video so its always nice to know if that makes sense lol
@alessiaavalone6396Ай бұрын
@ I think you have a very positive outlook to the channel and life in general. You seem realistic about the challenges you face and aren’t afraid to share that with your viewers. It makes you come across in a very likeable way. I find a lot of KZbinrs come across as if they are totally detached from reality 🤣 you do not. It’s a big positive imo. Everyone can see the hard work you put in. In terms of honesty, I just mean things like talking over earnings etc. Keep up the good work.
@Primalliquid92Ай бұрын
ohhhhhhhhh i get you, and yea i just dont see the point in trying to keep secrets and keeping people in the loop gives better expectations from the viewer for what to expect from me and likewise quite a few people have asked me questions due to wanting to become a content creator so instead of painting the mona lisa for an answer im just very frank and realistic, knowing the actual details might mean nothing to 99% of people, but for 1% it might be a huge deciding factor

Great video! Very interesting points. I was wondering if you've ever done a tier of your favourite FF / Spinoff games?

Thanks for responding to my question, I hope that your channel can continue to grow and do well as I enjoy your content and think you've got a really interesting way of handling challenges. Just to make sure I have it written somewhere, my username is pronounces as "Zero Fear" not phazer, but no one has ever tried to read it out loud before, so now I know how most people are probably reading it.

bit of a question/idea to run by you Primal. you mentioned uploading the stream vods to the vod channel, would it be possible to set up like 1 video a day to upload and be ready to push to the channel while your at work? i dont know how any of that works but feels like it could maybe allow you to slowly keep the content over there pumping out
@Primalliquid92Ай бұрын
I could but none of them are organised and id still have to update all the templates and schedule them ect
@xerxiesdaocАй бұрын
@Primalliquid92 ahh ok that makes sense. Was hoping to offer some sort of help lol
@Primalliquid92Ай бұрын
appreciate it but the stream vods is something that cant really be helped with, just need more time on my side

In Grandia 1, I wanted to do the Tower of Temptation, but it was a little to hard and I was thinking to leave it for later on. There is a point in the game where you cannot return to that part of the map? Because I was thinking to to start again that dungeon when I'm around lv 39-40

Ff13 challenge that I think is possible but would be really annoying is no inventory run. As in no items in fights, no using shops as you have to access them via items in your inventory at a save point. It would also mean no upgrading anything. To make it a bit sane being able to equip items you find would be allowed. Now, is it possible? Think so. But unholy hell would it be such a major annoyance. Might be impossible if you try to 100% the Titan Trials and such on top of the main game. Don't remember anyone doing that type of challenge for ff13, just thought it up while watching. At least the retry for fights is quick in that game.

Hey Primal, you're looking healthier. Gained a bit of weight which is good, your looking less sickly. Or is it just the change of camera angle?
@Primalliquid92Ай бұрын
err i dont know? i've not gained weight and my looks are the same imo lol

FFX (or the HD remaster at least) still looks decent visually. I don’t want them to “re-imagine” it as another action-RPG. I like your prequel idea. The birth of sin etc. Re: earnings, I think something a lot of people will forget is tax still has to be taken off those figures. If KZbin is giving you £2.5k, HMRC probably claim over £500 of that.
@Primalliquid92Ай бұрын
oh its not even just tax, theres fees for my partner network (straight 5% fee) then theres a conversion on payment (typically i get about 0.70 GBP per doller) and then i of course have to pay my taxes on what i actually recieve (as a safe rule of thumb 25% is put aside) so if i got paid £2000 exactly, then i put £500 into another account for tax purposes and then have 1500 for bills, equipment, games, subscriptions like adobe ect
@andrewhawn6312Ай бұрын
I personally like the idea that the run is possible with no other tools
@Primalliquid92Ай бұрын
yea i like doing runs like that the most but at the same time the slight modding required for some runs makes them more unique i feel, like the seymour only run ect
@teaformoo6932Ай бұрын
Wait- Daph no longer edits your vids? Did i miss something or did i just hear it wrong? (Also- love all you're doing man! We'll take whatever content we can get whenever you get a chance to make it- don't rush yourself!)

Dragon quest 8 is a great one to play 9 is good BUT being on ds it has no network so it's not as good as it used to be 11 is a great start to the series The original DQ games like 1-5 are pretty grindy I really hope they keep the remakes super grindy in honour of the nes difficulty
