I'm super thankful for this. Today, I had the worst day dancing, maybe ever. It's so weird that the other smaller club. That's where the best dancers congregate. And it's like they're avoiding me. Or everyone who knows me from before. The few new peeps there, it's really quite nice to dance with them. Then there's some weird criticisms, while the peeps who don't know me just give compliments. But today was especially bad because all my friends left, and I had to dance with all those peeps who seem to kinda resent me. Meanwhile, at the other, bigger club, it's just sooo good to dance. Serious question. Why do some people unrealistically expect other people who experienced a great deal of adversity that commonly and expectantly negatively impacts their views on life to just shift the way they think and "get it" after years of said adversity? As if knowing will instantly shift their ill will or feelings towards what they've known for years to be "true" or to bring them unhappiness despite practicing good habits? Then turn around and basically tell them its their fault. This does not make people feel good or able to triumph over their negative perception based on tough experiences that they've encountered. It's not our fault what happens to us, but it is our responsibility (to shift, improve, transmute). Then turn around and come off blamingly telling a person its their mindset (which it may be) as if they dont have a reason or cause for said poor mindset. It's not what's being said or pointed out. It's how it's being said and pointed out. I or anyone else may be perceiving it offensively, but I doubt that. This blaming behavior happenes often in the tarot community where the reader comes of high and mighty or like they dont have similar problems that they are battling and haven't overcome themselves. It always seems very shaming. Especially given the fact that the people pointing this out doesn't bother offering viable, effective, and realistic steps or solutions that will work for anyone who practices them. Dont point out a problem and not point out a solution to that problem. Truthfully, this is annoying. Sidebar: Dont forget the fact that the alignment of the planets, divine intervention, and free will of others is at play as well. There are times when I put in the work for certain outcomes or results, and it still doesn't play out how I'd hope or even close, at least as of yet. Trying different approaches and still not yielding results only to hear somebody tell me that it's my mindset as if I haven't tried that is insulting. This is how all this "change your mindset " stuff comes off, very dismissive. Of course, many folks have tried looking at things from a positive light. That's the reason why they are so pissed, because it hasn't worked the times that they did try. There miserable jealous people at work .
