I love the name two fools for Christ. The Bible verse about being foolish for the Lord has always hit me hard. I’ve always sort of recognized at a young age that the world will always perceive those who truly devote their lives to our Blessed Lord as foolish. This makes sense. We live in such a materialistic world today that places such importance on making the self the center of the universe.

Being married is better. Genesis is clear. It's not good for man to be alone. There is no sin in the material world . That's an unhealthy attitude. How much is enough? How do you judge this? I have hot running water,is that sin if my neighbors don't. Is not material wealth a reward for hard work and industry which are both good virtues. As for married couples not having sex for Holy reason is illogical. God gave us genitals. U don't see Jesus say in sermon on the mount. " Blessed are sexless marriages" 😂😂 maybe he should of considering 80 percent of marriage are after 10 yrs. The church and the world need more christian marriage have many children.

Read 1 Corinthians, chapter 7. Saint Paul says it's better to not marry if we can.

@@Thurold he wasn't making a blanket Statement about marriage. That would be illogical, considering the mandate and created purpose of mankind in Genesis. Be fruitful and multiply. Also it is very in Jewish in understanding. Scripture had a Jewish mindset. Even the Apostle Paul was more then likely married at some point. After all no one in married could be a Pharisee. So maybe he was a widower. Anyway all good if u love singleness. Singleness is a good thing. But I'm stairing my children to marry and make young disciples.

@@matthewashman1406 He does make a statement about marriage, he insists that if you want to dedicate yourself to God, it is better to stay single. It doesn't mean that it's bad to marry as he says, but if you can, stay single because you do not share your attention between worldly things and God. They are able to be more dedicated to prayer and to others. A celibate priest doesn't have a wife and children to go home for, he can give himself fully to others and to Christ. That's what Jesus did, imagine if he had a wife and kids? But staying is a special call indeed. (btw, I'm married and have a son and I see the difference)

@@Thurold Well there is my issues with that interpretation . It makes out prayer etc is Holy work but secular everyday things are not. That is not a Jewish mindset. More Greek. Hey I get it if people want to remain single as ND dedicate there time to things they don't have to think about what the wife would say etc. I Just DC ont see singleness as better. But equal

@@matthewashman1406 No, you can dedicate your chores and work to God of course. But it's just easier to be dedicated to God when you're single that's all it says. I don't really understand why you bring jewish or greek mindsets since we're christians. When the apostles followed Jesus, they left everything. Just like the young man asking Jesus how to be perfect, he answered to sell everything he had and follow him. Matthew 19:12 "For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others-and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.” Staying single for God is special to Him.
